I did this in hospital (MRI and CT scan; the experience as described here) on my OoCanTell 10k mobile phone... I was unable to post this because my fat, gloved fingers and drug hazed eyesight combined to make this feat entirely beyond my capacity. The usual torture has also occurred/ Daily Quordle #53 7️⃣6️⃣ 8️⃣5️⃣ quordle.com ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩⬜ ⬜⬜🟨🟨⬜ ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟨🟩⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩⬜ ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟩⬜⬜⬜🟨 ⬜🟩⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ ⬜⬜🟨⬜🟨 ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜🟩⬜🟨⬜ 🟩⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ 🟨⬜⬜🟨⬜ ⬜⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬜⬜🟨⬜⬜ ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ ⬜⬜🟨🟩⬜ ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛

The 'like' is for the Quordle score, not for the torture. Glad to know you survived it, Chumbles . My one and only MRI scan was about 20 years ago. I had been told that I could bring my own music to calm me down, so I took my Fellowship of the Ring OST CD along. What worried me as I was going into the metal tube was that they hadn't quite explained how exactly communication would function. They just pressed a buzzer into my hand without telling me what exactly it was for. I didn't have the luxury of a screen in front of my eyes; I was staring straight at the surface of the metal tube. And the longer I stared the more I realised that that surface was just a few centimetres above my nose and that it was maybe getting a bit too snug for my liking. Not a peep from Howard Shore, either. I did get instructions to hold my breath over a wonky loudspeaker at one point, but the sound was so distorted that I thought that communication was just broken and that there was no way to let them know if I wasn't okay. So I started panicking. Fortunately they got me out of the thing after a while. They were surprised when I said that (unlike the rest of the team) I'd been unable to listen to the Treason of Isengard. 4 stars. Went home and scared the sh*t out of the PM, who was the world's greatest claustrophobic. (I was always worried that one day he might have needed an MRI scan.) It was way less fun than my previous visit to a such a facility when I was accompanying an Egyptian mummy and a number of archaeological artefacts that were getting a scan. I think the medical scanning team really appreciated the mummy as an easy and laid back customer.

Curry for dinner. Well what passes for curry when your daughter thinks you spiked her with birds eye chillies after a mouthful of butter chicken. Need to go to an Indian restaurant soon, been too long.
Hopefully some Spiderman later when the child goes to Brownies and the PM is swimming.
Aaaaaannd just as I was typing that I was informed the child is now not going to Brownies as she's hurt her foot/tired from today's fun run at school. Fuck you school *shakes fist*

We're having Chinese takeaway later. I'm going to do my usual and study the menu for half an hour before picking, as always, Singapore chow mein. Might go maverick with the accompaniment though and not pick vegetable spring rolls for a change. Stay tuned for more exciting updates.

I’m supposed to be going to an Indian restaurant tonight but I think my dad and sister are waging psy-ops on me.

Is that to force you to go to the Indian, or to go elsewhere?
Or just for shits and giggles?

Our curry was from Asda, wasn't takeaway. *Sobs uncontrollably*
Heading to the shop for chocolate to have with my coffee. Hoping the child playing Roblox won't notice me pocket munching mini eggs. But she can smell chocolate from a thousand paces.

Is that to force you to go to the Indian, or to go elsewhere? Or just for shits and giggles? I want to go. We made the booking and I told my dad the time. But he’s not answering my text messages despite having made a chess move indicating he’s looking at his phone.

Roast parsnips yet again for dinner. Keep expecting them to have gone past their best and lost that deep sweetness. But they're still hanging on in there giving it all they've got.

There are two documentaries about Laurel Canyon; Echo in the Canyon and Laurel Canyon the movie. I'm not sure which one to watch slash buy. Hmm.
If anyone is looking for a music documentary to watch, I remembered whilst looking for my dvd of it, 'Part of the weekend never dies' is on Vimeo and YouTube. If you like soulwax/LCD/Hot Chip etc it's worth a watch. It's basically about Soulwax but James/Nancy all the lads are in it.

Pasta bake with minced beef, peas, and Philadelphia cheese. Took longer to prepare than expected, worth it, though.
