Afternoon all.
I’m feeling a bit better now, but this Super Cold has taken it out of me. Saying that, I was unable to get to sleep until the early hours this morning, meaning I struggled a bit getting up.
I have now taken a PCR test. Should hopefully have the results in the next day or so.
TVblog: Seinfeld. That’s it.
Warhermitblog: damned spray primer! I ensure all of my spray cans are properly “cleaned” after use. And yet today’s undercoating resulted in horrible spattering. Not overly chuffed with that.

Come to think of it, I also purchased a can of Heinz 'Five Beans'. The descent has begun... Welcome brother Tiddles, I too have just bought a can of Heinz beans - though not as upmarket as yours, only a one bean. One bean - fart in tune with most musical themes Five bean - a symphony of farty delight enough to rival even the great farthoven himself. Wolfgang Mofart

Air on a G-string
Puns have got classier since the arrival of Red Donkey. And yet also less classier at the same time.

He should have carried on: Die Hard With a Stammer?
1. Die Hard (Alan Rickman) 2. Fifth Element (really #1. - ridiculously good with a fantastic cast, but I love Alan Rickman) 3. Pulp Fiction 4. Twelve Monkeys 5. The Sixth Sense
Putting the last 3 in order is nonsense really. In many respects, if he could stand it, Willis imho could now make a completely different career doing characters broader and more rounded... this illness has come at a time when, I believe, his considerable talent could have been given full rein.

I expect our middle of the country friends to try it and report back:
"Name: Crispy McFillet. Age: New! Texture: Crunchy, crispy. Ingredients: A crunchy chicken fillet, crisp lettuce …
I’m lovin’ it already! Wait, there’s more. Add to that black pepper mayonnaise with just a hint of truffle …
What the …?! Truffle? I thought we were talking Maccy Ds, not the Fat Duck? We are. The Crispy McFillet is a spring item on the McDonald’s menu, being trialled in 41 restaurants across the Midlands and nine in Ireland."
Also: "The Crispy McFillet comes in a sourdough-style bun …"

Coincidently I'm making a sourdough Bruschetta for dinner to go with a soup* from the freezer.
*Looked for the onion soup I made but this isn't it, probably cauliflower.

One of my nurses rang just now; his brother died of a heart attack this morning and he's been asking me for advice as he is trying to help his sister-in-law. This is happening to me a lot, three times this year. Folk seem to regard me as their first port of call. A sort of father figure* - ironic as I don't have any children!
Strange times.
*and you list know how unwise that is!

No offence Tids, but the use of 'passed' and other such euphemisms for death really pisses me off. He died. Pure and simple. * Though he was probably neither pure or simple.

I take no offence. It's a fair point.
