This morning's argument is sponsored by the UK passport office. We're getting the kid a passport and they now want my birth certificate. This is due to my passport only having my middle name and surname - which I've always been known by and my birth certificate having first name, middle name, surname.
THE PASSPORT THEY FUCKING ISSUED AND PREVIOUSLY ASKED FOR MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE TO ISSUE.
Cunts.
Ottm. Faint second line on an lcf this morning. Up half the night with a sore throat. So the pm has to go to the post office to send my birth certificate.

I had a couple of cans of something called Transmission.
A light 6.9% IPA. Slightly piney. I'm not that keen on beer tasting like furniture polish, but it was ok.
And a couple of Northern Monk Transient A 7% IPA
That was a better beer
I'm still not fully convinced by strong hazy craft IPAs. I was brought up to believe cloudy beer was bad beer so a beer that looks like it is at an early stage of the brewing process is a visual challenge.
Also the taste. Some of them are ok, some of them a bit out there with non-beer flavours. Fortunately I have a few more cans of different stuff to test.

I actually like the super-strong hazy IPAs. More then the generic IPAs. Tangy, floral and super-strong.

Back to back solo Fortnite wins, meant I went to bed filled with adrenaline & unable to sleep. Thought I'd pop on my comfort film Shaun Of The Dead in the hope I'd doze off, ended up also watching Hot Fuzz. Guess who has four hooves and is in desperate need of coffee?

I don't really like beers flavoured with other things. A part of me thinks of them in the same way as alcopops. And lots of them just don't taste that great.
Hard to get a 'craft' stout or porter that's not flavoured with chocolate of coffee or some other rich dark brown ingredient.

I also like hazy ipa's.
Cloudwater soft and juicy I think is one I like. Hazy Jane I also like, but that of course marks me out as a wrong un.

I actually like the super-strong hazy IPAs. More then the generic IPAs. Tangy, floral and super-strong. There is a reason why I keep trying them. They have a certain something that more traditional ales don't have. More alcohol mostly. Some of them are pretty good. One or two are super sour or overhopped. I'm not massively keen on fruit flavours or pine or other oddities. |
