Eclair Surf had sustained “a traumatic head injury” at the third fence, and that after being treated at the racecourse he had been transferred to Liverpool University’s equine hospital, where “he was treated all night, however very sadly it was not to be”. Surely this ought to be a horsepital. Or 'osspickle if you are from West Brom Eclair Surf had a right mare.

This guy does amazing chainsaw wood sculptures. He obviously had access to a photo of Crank... I always thought Ron Perlman played Bigfoot.

Afternoon all!
Standard early-morning swimming lesson for the boy. Roads were relatively clear on the way there, but cyclist-laden on the return trip.
After a bit of lunch*, my partner and I then started constructing the trampoline that the boys grandad bought for him. It fills a quarter of the lawn, and took us three and a half hours to put together.
Still, our son loves it. He’ll be out there all the time over the Easter holidays.

Dinner* What are we doing? Either a homemade Thai style curry or more likely a microwaved curry.

Maybe a stir fry. I dunno.
I am lacking inspiration. Eating crisps while watching Man City v Liverpool did not help.

I watched Man City vs Liverpool too, breaking my usual boycott of the EPL. It was actually pretty good, though I took the precaution of hoovering under the sofas at the same time to offset the molten excitement of 'Super Sunday', and found a load of Christmas decorations and a fully functional biro. 4 stars.

If you are to enjoy watching Aberdeen it's important not to see much actual good football.

Watching Birmingham would be allowed. Maybe even compulsory. We are pretty awful.
The most exciting thing yesterday was our goalkeeper getting knocked out tackling a Forest winger. I am not sure who's fault it was.
We conceded early and always looked comfortable with the prospect of a 2-0 defeat, even though we didn't play that badly.

Good football is overrated. It is the tears of your enemies that matter the most.

amipal. Have you watched Hell Drivers (1957)? It's got all the stars and is easily in my top ten fillums. Along with Ice Cold in Alex, of course.

I see Big Scott McKenna located the onion bag during the match. I am hoping Forest sell him so we can get a sell-on percentage to help pay off the contracts of our entire first team squad.

Bundled in from close range from a corner. I'd hesitate to call it a classic header. It sort of rolled in off the back of his head. This was after our keeper was knocked out of the game. His replacement sadly misjudged the corner. I am still unconvinced the Forest player didn't leave his knee in deliberately to smack Etheridge in the face, Stephen Hunt style.

Hello
I also watched Manchester City vs. Liverpool. After half time I felt disconsolate and made a plate of cheese cubs with mustard for dippin’, and a small amount of celery salt. I also ate some crunchy corn. I made dinner a bit later: Cold noodles with satay sauce, but it wasn’t that nice …
I put on Netflix and started watching a documentary on Sparks. I turned it off after ten seconds. I don’t think I like modern documentaries …
I might drink some wine ….

I think maybe I hate modern documentaries. Lots of fast cuts, animation, people seeming to finish each other’s sentences, even though they’re removed from each other in space and time.
I’m in the curmudgeon zone.
