I don't remember seeing anything as bad as a motorcyclist getting decapitated. I did walk past Michael Gove on a street in Manchester once, which was pretty horrifying. His face is unnaturally wide and fleshy and his skin pallid and grey - definitely a Cthulhu cultist.

Worked for British Rail many years ago. Picking up body parts and putting in a bin bag was never my favourite. Luckily there was always someone happy to go out in front so I could skulk along behind. Shouts of "look I've found a foot" was enough for me to feel Squeamish.

I once went on an ‘Adventure Holiday’: One of those holidays you go on / went on where you do / did things like mountain climbing and canoeing. All of this. I’d gone with two other friends - sons of people my dad knew. They were both ok really. Well they seemed to be. One of them was.
The adventure holiday was based in an old boarding school, so it was dormitory life. Anyway ... One of these companions of mine gave someone the worst beating I’ve ever seen. The other boy was maybe a bit of 'a nerd’. He didn't any fighting aptitude you could see (except for maybe the heart of a lion). I can’t remember what the fight was about but he kept going back to it. After getting a pasting he would start the fight up again, and get solidly beaten up again. It was horrible.
I was just one of the other onlookers in the dormitory watching this happen. I didn’t try and stop it. It just seemed as if the one participant - the one getting the beating - wanted it to carry on.
Not much of a story really. It was just a bad thing. I don’t remember really seeing the companion of mine much after that.

It was like Fight Club. With nine year olds. I think a few of us tried to talk down this companion of mine, but you couldn’t do much when the other participant kept starting it up again. The level of brutality though. It was a really bad thing. |

A book: Priory of the Orange Tree. Decried as "woke fantasy" because some of the main characters are *whispers* women. It's OK. Better world building than actual storytelling.

On the way back to the workplace I passed a new burrito venture. It must have sprung into life over the past week. It had more people in than I've ever seen in Timo's. Timo backed the wrong foldable foodstuff.

I was in Tooting once and saw a man, as if in slow motion, put a hand down the back of his jogging trousers. He rootled about in his bum-cleft, then took something out which, between thumb and forefinger, he delicately held up to his nose.
