Morning gents (and ladies, though I suspect principally the former) New sub - I'm here because I saw a link in the grauniad this morning, announcing this joint as the spiritual successor to the original chatterbox, which I fondly remember as my main entertainment when parking my weetabix at work. I'm 47, own all the consoles (except the new Sony unicorn egg), and like reggae, football, cricket, snooker, playing .d64 games on my laptop during meetings, and justice. Let me know if there's a burning topic I should offer my opinion on, or should I just post my wordle grid and lurk until I understand all the in-jokes? Do you own a Gizmondo? Good question creamyfark. Let's really get to the bottom of this 'all the consoles' claim. Find out just how trustworthy this new guy is. Also muffrat if that's even your real name - what colour is the boathouse at Hereford?

For using the term ‘Yummers’ can we enforce execution on zero maintenance grass? Yup, and then we nick all his good stuff. Not the Amigas, obvs.

Big plump pigeon found in the lean-to this morning eating the wheat used for decorative purposes. The Jack Russell terrier found him/her/they/them first so by the time I got involved it had all kicked off. Got it out using a mop head in the end. Dog thought it the most exciting thing to happen for a while. Don't think he's noticed yet that the pigeon took a huge shit in his basket. And all before 6am.

muffrat - say what you like, admit nothing and never, ever apologise.* *unless you want to. If you're wondering about all the codes that form part of BBCode, you can find a handy reference list here. (I haven't told anyone else that so keep it to yourself...)

You've got me there, no. I would definitely buy one if the price was right though, its my dream charity shop find... I do have a broken tapwave zodiac + games and a nokia ngage though, on permanent exhibition in a box in the loft along with all the other stuff that makes my wife seethe with barely concealed resentment

Thanks for the heads up about bbcode. I have much to relearn and remember. (Is it still possible to destroy an entire thread by forgetting to close a markup tag?)
And re: the boathouse at Hereford - I trained with 24 SAS who were billeted in Stockport, where the boathouse was actually a locomotive shed for operational reasons. (It was brown, half way between a chocolate labrador and the headliner of an Austin Maxi)

I'm about to win a Diplomacy game playing Sparta. Here's the map with my moves previewed... Byzantium ( green) has stretched this game out by NEVER readying his orders up and as the phase length is 1.5 days, you can see that the Autumn move took 4.5 days... This is obviously hoping that I will opt for the draw through boredom); which is why I am going to pick up my last 2 required centres from him rather than the much more vulnerable Rhodes ( light blue). It will take a lot longer, but I am going to make the cunt suffer.
