I'm about to win a Diplomacy game playing Sparta. Here's the map with my moves previewed... Byzantium ( green) has stretched this game out by NEVER readying his orders up and as the phase length is 1.5 days, you can see that the Autumn move took 4.5 days... This is obviously hoping that I will opt for the draw through boredom); which is why I am going to pick up my last 2 required centres from him rather than the much more vulnerable Rhodes ( light blue). It will take a lot longer, but I am going to make the cunt suffer. Thebes outside of Boeotia??? I didn't design this variant (although I suspect that the bidding mechanism was inspired by Adrien Baird and my Intimate Diplomacy), but Boeotia's position looks accurate to me. However, Diplomacy variants are rarely designed to reflect historical reality! |

Thebes outside of Boeotia??? I didn't design this variant (although I suspect that the bidding mechanism was inspired by Adrien Baird and my Intimate Diplomacy), but Boeotia's position looks accurate to me. However, Diplomacy variants are rarely designed to reflect historical reality! It's more that Boeotia was the region and Thebes the main city of that region. I was also being a tedious pedant. |

My Mum has a British Citizenship ceremony tomorrow, I am hoping they spot an error somewhere and I get deported to Switzerland. Those alpine spring meadows are a lot nicer than inner city Sheffield.

Admittedly I had to read the physics question about 10 times before I understood it because I was distrcated thinking about the Sumerian cubit.
