Morning all, I have an interview in a couple of hours. What’s the protocol for Teams interviews? Send a computer virus to the biggest guy on the screen? Approach interview sensibly. Sit at desk with laptop. Only reveal you have gone balls out by standing up part way through. Well at the end of the interview.

hi We might go to a haunted loch today - Haunted by a beautiful horse, that entices people into its back, only to ride them to their deaths in the waters. I hope I can remain immune to its charms. Kelpie. They're basically a metaphor for sex. Disgusting. Here's the Kelpie from the Japanese sex dungeon game I suppose in Scotland that would be considered quite sexy.

Be careful with any presentations you do, if you’re reading from the screen. If you are just reading it your eyes wil dart about, giving the impression of a spooked sheep.

Just be yourself. Go get em, champ! Actually, I think I might have got that wrong. Why would I be me if being someone else was an option?

Afternoon all. Cricket on. TMS is like Savlon for the soul.
A 2DS has arrived from ebay today to replace a 3DS which was dropped in a swimming pool in Minorca years ago. It's for my daughter really, to play the rest of the back catalogue of animal crossing games that she hasn't already got 300+ hours in...
That said, used games on this platform are costing buttons nowadays - can anyone recommend favourites they may have played, on the DS or 3DS? Nothing too turn-based or JRPG, unless they're exceptional. Have a dozen or so games in the loft, will dig them out later, hard to remember what might be there.

I would recommend custom firmware on the 2DS and stealing all the back catalogue. It's really easy to do. Do Nintendo need your money on 20yr old IP?

It's 12 yr old, and not everyone is a dirty pirate Stede Bonnet if that's even your name. But custom firmware will also allow you to copy carts you own onto microsd and leave them at home... plus it's reversible.

Also, Nintendo 2DS recommends? Tenthen has just put on the coffee machine and her favourite writing gloves.

Is Tokyo Vice as much fun as the Yakuza games? I'll need to look into that.
Recently my gaming has also come at the expense of sleep. Stupid sexy Xenoblade.
Did I mention that I am very tired?
Last night my own gaming consisted only of a bit of Animal Crossing where I managed to acquire a genuine Valiant Statue. This after putting dozens of fake ones into the bin. Success!
I spent the evening watching a co-stream of the various E3-esque digital events, starting with the Geofffest. Here a clear takeaway was that studios have realised that people liked Dead Space, because every other game was of the space horror persuasion. One thing I found surprising is that publishers still think it's acceptable to show a glossy CGI trailer instead of gameplay. It is not.
I didn't really see anything I wanted.
This was followed by the Day of the Devs indie games event and unlike the previous AAA showcase I found every single game somewhat interesting. They showed a Japanese game with a fox and a frog that's apparently still years away but I need it, like, yesterday.
After that there was the ever more elaborate Devolver Digital presentation. I pointed out to my streamer friend that the bloke in the robot suit was Suda51. Earlier I had correctly identified the remake of Flashback, a game said streamer friend had never heard of. Kids these days. I felt like a right nerd.
OTTM: my boiler has sprung a leak* and this morning a man came to fix it. I did not call him 'mate' and didn't mention the game last night. He established that he needed a part that is not in stock and turned off my hot water until Monday. Four stars.
*not a euphemism

Tuffers said yesterday: "YEAH! Re-re-mastered PS5 version of TLOU out September. I will be preordering. GOAT. Winter section alone is GOATOATOAT." Really? You're going to spend £70 again. On the same game? Don't enable that. At least wait for a sale. I appreciate that the game is deemed a classic. A piece of art. Then new technology comes along. "Oh man, if we had x, y, and z when we wrote our game. Can you imagine?" - you didn't. Leave it alone. Create something new.

I would absolutely fall for that for £10-£20. Full price though, nah. I have played it twice already.
