I've never seen Dead Man's Shoes, think I'll tape it. What is this, the seventies? Get with the programme grandpa.

There's a Tim Hortons opening near me soon, so I'll have yet another option if I want shit coffee I assume it would travel as well as a British franchise going to Canada.

Thank you for your feedback (Namaste hand gesture). With a few days on my own and not in work I fall into a midday to 4am sort of cycle … Would definitely consider myself as being on the introverted end of the spectrum, but nod to Felice Landry’s unwillingness to be characterised in such a way. I mean surely you can be an extrovert one day and an introvert the other? There is no fundamental extroversion and introversion. I don’t know … I feel the late riser is misunderstood. As is the introvert. At odds with the early rising, teeth gnashing, 100 percent life liver.

TuffersI implore you to watch Dead Man’s Shoes. It's all set to record. So, if I haven't had an MSG crash from the Singapore fried rice and spring rolls I'm currently scoffing, then I will.

I read that intro/extroversion is not about being outgoing/reserved or whether you enjoy company so much as whether you are energised or exhausted by social interactions. Is this correct?
Scotland and Northern England appear to be absolutely riddled with Tim Horton's-es. Nice to see the southern outposts are belatedly getting a piece of the sweet action of whatever it is they sell.

Extroverts wear wacky ties and drive a sports car because they have a tiny wanger.
Introverts talk to strangers on the internet and eat Chinese food because they have a foot long schlong.
FACT.

My oh my, thank you for the considered and detailed reply. Lots to mull over.
I feel like you've really treated me to a comprehensive precis of 20 years of the zelda franchise on handheld - duly noted. You can't buy a Nintendo console of any vintage and ignore that series I guess. I've played BOTW and wind waker on Wii U & majoras mask on n64 round about when it came out, but never (I'm ashamed to say) ocarina. Maybe nows the time?
The metroid games are a maybe if I can score them for decent money, they definitely punch above their weight in pre-owned prices. I liked the first person metroid games on the Wii, I'm aware that the fanboys thought they were shit but they did soften me towards trying the 2d games. My only problem with all of the games of that ilk is that none of then are The Sacred Armour of Antiriad, which was metroidvaniaing hard before either parts of that portmanteau were a thing (It's in my top 5 8 bit games of all time, no question)
My daughter's had my switch since the start of lockdown, not really missed it (since I re-finished skyrim at least) so my handheld gaming has come from the vita since. I actually bought the vita half thinking I could play ace attorney on it (wrong!) so will be a treat to find out what those games are actually like. OBJECTION! The games I enjoyed most on the Sony were the kind of puzzle platformers that the vita did well - the swapper, hue, Thomas was alone, limbo, teslagrad etc - but it's not hard to imagine that games like that could work just as well on a much less powerful platform like the 2ds, not sure what I'm missing
The luigis mansion games are a shoo-in, good shout. Most of the Mario platformers you note (and MK 7) are either on the list or in the loft, looking forward to dipping back into them
Funnily enough Ever Oasis has been rec'd to me by another friend when I was mulling what titles might be a gateway to 'proper' gaming for my 9 yo daughter, coming from her place of exclusively playing Animal Crossing NH/Sims 4/Toca World. They have a copy in the CEX down the road so that's a definite, thanks
I know you mentioned more games - but I'm on mobile and it's tricky to check back, also I'm knackered as had about 2 hrs kip last night. Rest assured I'll be combing your post even more thoroughly tomoz with an ebay window open. Thanks - truly - for taking the time to share your opinions 👍

I do prefer to keep things straight and narrow nowadays, but don't mind jolly rogering it for the odd rarity, and esp. Out of print games over 20 yrs old that are hard to get hold of. I mean, I've still got the commodore 64 I had when I was 10, and every game I ever bought - but have a couple of hundred more on my hard drive. Many of them I would willingly buy if I could, but this far down the time line it does sort of feel like a victimless crime (and being honest, I owned 10 pirated c64 games to every legit game I had in the c64 and amiga era). And, for example, I own kosher cartridge copies of the mega drive sonic games, but if I ever play them it's almost always via roms on an emulator - at least until I find a nice Trinitron on loot (and get a bigger house and a better, more understanding family).
But yeah - ill almost certainly CFW the 2ds, if only for the convenience of putting games on an SD. No moral high ground here though - if I could, I'd definitely download a car

My oldest daughter is staying over at her friend's house tonight, so it's potentially over 24hrs since anyone's told me to fuck off (and/or die). Plus, tonight I've polished off 2/3 of a bottle of aldi pino noir and a miniature of Midori I found in the Xmas decorations box in the garage, so I feel I'm actually invulnerable to even really bad swears tonight
