Should I do a Laybones and point out I was liking the bit of Melvazord's post about being grumpy, not the bit him about being ill? Or just leave the ambiguity there? This Futurama joke always made me laugh but made my friends very nervous for a few years post non-death But yes, you're a monster, obviously.

I'm sure there's an achievement somewhere in my solid 5/6 streak over the last days.
Any time now.

27. Sandwiched between Gongfarmer, Tids, and Shenguin.
That is not a comfortable position for anyone to be in.

On the way back from buying Elden Ring a chap pointed to my tshirt (an Arnie one). Said he worked with him and even produced a card which I took. The card reads 'Donnie Max California' and he has a youtube channel and is on facebook. His card shows him with Arnie. Can anyone beat that? Schipol is the place for this, but they always seemed to be midgets - Trevor McDonut being harangued by his wife And Alf (Alison Moyet) who looked about 4' 10" tall and 2" wide: she was throwing a tantrum at her fellow dwarf... in the middle of a noisy airport the kerfuffle was very noticeable! I always hear this now as "Please go"! (edit: turns out she's 5' 10" - I must have been well-oiled that day)

Ho ho ho. It’s not really Laybones. I’m just …
I’ve had two people try and put in meetings for 9am on a Wednesday. One of them I accept because it’s my first with my new manager. The other one… It looks like a standing meeting. I need to push back.
I can’t help but feel that people look down on those who get up late. I need to retain my boundaries. My boundaries are being devoured …

I can’t help but feel that people look down on those who get up late. Generally standing over the bed. Shouting about you being late for meetings.

Who gets into work at 9.00?
It’s killing me. 7.00 is a reasonable (if early) get-out-of bed time. If I get up an hour before 7.00 I feel as though it’s an hour also sliced off the end of my life. I hate it.

If that's part of the job you're being paid for, suck it up. <edit>also it's got nothing to do with "the end of your life", It's an hour that will happen regardless of what you are doing.

lazybones . Can't you just use the Julian Clary excuse?
[EDIT] Actually, scratch that idea as I don't think it would be practical in the UK.

Greetings from Glasgow. It's been about 14 decrees here, so typical summer day for the Scots.
Tony Macaroni was alright and I had a full Scottish at Old Salties for lunch. Thinking about a Thai for dinner later.
It was a heavy one last night so will probably take it easy tonight so I have something left in the tank for GNR.

You'll be back home under the thumb in a few days! Also, not having had one, was there any difference between a full scottish and a full English? Maybe haggis instead of black pudding?

Pretty much, haggis, black pudding and Lorne sausage.

We English. Leave out the word English and see if the sentence still makes sense. "So us () get Crankcaller...." is wrong. "So we () get Crankcaller..." makes sense, therefore "So we English get Crankcaller..." is correct. Here endeth the lesson.

Dinner: An absolute chuffing bucketful of wholewheat pasta and turkey mince ragu. Diet food. Looking forward to it though. Only enough weightwatchers points remain for either some cheese to go on top, or a big bottle of Moretti. No competition. (hic)
Games: Ace Attorney on 2DS on a rare bus journey. Don't get on the scumshovel much nowadays but quite enjoyed the journey with my earphones in, and with something to do other than watch the green pastures of South Manchester roll by. Looking forward to tucking back into AC odyssey again later when the kids have cleared off and the cricket highlights have got themselves watched

Sitting at dinner and the family at the next table were from Greenock. Well I assume so as the smallest child had a Morton top on.
Weather nicer than Glasgow and supposed to be dry all week. Though next week here is 21 all week..The basturds.
They've done that thing here where there's a plate on the wall with an hdmi socket and usb port so you can watch stuff on the telly without fucking about in the back, except the hdmi sockets don't actually have sockets. Just holes. I brought the apple TV with me, but Freeview it is I reckon. Can't be arsed having someone round to sort it.

The problem with holidays is that you’re often staying outside a place attuned to your own comfort - your castle keep.
