Last night I completed my second run through of Snipper Elite 5. At a bit of a loss now. Perhaps a third go as I now have all the besty guns. Far Cry 5 is on Gamepass. Good guns, explosives, Bow n Arrow etc. Killing cultists. Pretend it's the JWs

Today is my Friday. Off to Cheltenham tomorrow to do public participation games at the Fantasy Forest Festival. Its one of the few places I can turn up and be one of the cooler people there. Had to have a call with a scientist today who didn't know that 0.9% aqueous NaCl and physiological saline were the same thing. Kids these days, eh? Edit: happy birthday Faceless. May birthday Jesus bring you the smock of your dreams.

Games
None. I did rescue the PS3 from the cupboard though. And connect the PS2 to my TV. I now have PS2,3,4,5 all connected to the TV. I couldn't work out where the PS2 wires go. There are 3 wires and 5 possible spots at the back of the TV for them. The red and white speaker wires were easy, but the third wire is yellow and there is no yellow connector. Also my TV was skipping the AV1 connection so I couldn't see the results of putting the wire in each hole. Eventually the TV compromised and I was able to get the PS2 running. It's fans are concordeesque. I am sure it wasn't that loud back in the day. Though it was hot last night. I might see if i can get some dust out of it.. Also the disc tray won't stay open. But it works.
The PS3 also works. Though I'm not sure the controllers hold a charge very well now. Also it made me go through an annoying security system to log in. Apparently it is suspicious to resurrect a PS3.
I now have access to the original Resident Evil games on PS2 and PS3 (And RE on PS5). I never completed Outbreak or Outbreak 2. Maybe it is time. They do not look pin sharp on a big screen.
OTTM I watched the first Resident Evil film. It is pretty good. Though it might be slightly incoherent if you haven't played Resident Evil. It is way better than the Silent Hill films*.
Four stars
The most surprising thing is that Paul W S Anderson managed to marry Milla. He seems ok in the extras, but she is ridiculously out of his league. She must be something of a games fan. As he seemingly has no interests except in turning games in to films. They have apparently been together for 20 years
I have more of the films to watch. Many more
* Silent Hill is crap but competent. Silent Hill 2 is one of the most bizarre films I have ever seen. I had to watch large parts of it a second time to see if had missed something the first time. It actually made less sense sober.

The second Silent Hill film was the one with Jon Snow in it? Or maybe I just hallucinated that. Either way it wasn't very good

Sheep2 if you're recomissioning your PS3 after a while do a fan reverse - if you've not done it before turn it off at the power switch , and turn it on whilst holding down eject (or unplug/re-plug it while holding eject if you've got a ps3 slim) - the fans should spool up to max revs in reverse for 20-30 seconds and blow all the dust out from the innards of your console in an exciting and satisfying fashion. I did this a few months ago after learning about it on YouTube, and got almost a full cat out of mine (Top tip - have a hoover handy, or do it outside with an extension cable)

The PS3 is fine. I had bagged and tagged it. It always sat on the unit so it wasn't full of dust.
The PS2 has sat on a carpet for a while. The fans were going full blast. It might just have been because I haven't plugged it in since I got the new TV (in 2018). It may always have been noisy I do not know. It is only about 17 years old though so it should be fine.
If they would put the catalogue of PS1,2,3, games online for PS5 I'd probably just buy the ones I want. And never play them. Sadly I have to set up the consoles in order to not play some old games.

As discussed before on these boards. If you're wanting the full SnV experience...
Go co-op sea salt and chardonnay wine vinegar. They're not for lightweights though. Burn yer gub material. Four stars.

Am I right in thinking that people often misuse the word 'agile' in a work context? People drop it in to mean 'prepared to move desks' or 'flexible', but actually it's a very specific term relating to software development? ... (as well as meaning agile like a high jumper) ...
I was convinced I was right but now I'm not sure I am.
