The air feels very stale here. Like it has been superheated and cooled. It is still stuffy even though it is a relatively cool 21 C.
It would be nice to have a decent storm or at least some rain.
Freshen things u a bit.
I could live without petrichor. It is an unpleasant word. It makes me think of a suppurating wound that smells of petrol. Maybe a dead whale rotting.

Morning all, RingChat. Killed Godrick through being over levelled and hanging back whilst a summons and a jellyfish did the work. It's addictive at points but the game is all about getting killed. You think you are tough with a newly upgraded weapon and get one-shotted. New region? More things to kill me. Yes, it's souls etc.... Still at least there are random NPCs to have some chat with rather than them doling out lines nicked from 6th form poetry competitions...oh hang on. I am still really enjoying the Ring. I am currently playing it with a +10 2-handed chopper I got near the start, but thinking of re-speccing in the direction of magic to allow use of some of the cheatier weapons. Stormveil castle is great. A couple of bits where I couldn't have done it without checking the wikis, including the bit just after Godrick, though of course you may well have gotten more gud than me. |

I have got to get back in to the Ring. I climbed out of the TV set after 5 hours and have not been back.

Thanks to the propaganda on here, I have, in the last 5 mins just returned from the co-op with the same! Co-op Irresistible Hand Cooked Sea salt & Chardonnay vinegar crisps. I resisted the propaganda and didn't install Souls remaster when I saw it on PS+ last night.
If i'd perhaps won £191 Million on the lotto and had time on my hands I might have installed it.
After the major organ transplant and blood change were complete obviously.

I've had to close the front door - loud clatter earlier as the walking stick that was ajar finally gave up holding the door apparently 'shut'. I don't mind taking a minor risk, but a wide open door provides a major invitation to some passing hophead to do me over. And that's only too possible around here. Morning bathers!
I’ve availed myself of that YARTS game on PS5 (been playing via a mirror), and as such am now also a Premium PlayStation member. I think that also affords me a free newspaper on the orient express and a seat in the premiere lounge at London st pancreas and any airport in the northern hemisphere.
Also got in some monster Hunter and a touch of grand turismo. I think I’ve nearly finished grand turismo - a score of Nissan GT-R out of five. It’s basically good but lacking in any kind of personality of sense of peril. The way the enemy cars are just lined up in a neat orderly line one after another for you to overtake right from the start of the race is a baffling choice. Classic Sony.
As such since I’m on holiday I’ve also hors d’ordered Grid, the live action video one. Planning on going back to some of the old unfinished classics too, like that Chernobyl one, and top recent release Judgement.
Ring is moribund. It’s literally impossible to beat the big gold lad in the town. I’ve already played about 20/30 hours so feel like I’ve got my moneys worth. No one has ever completed a souls game anyway.

After the major organ transplant and blood change were complete obviously. Souls remaster is excellent. I would recommend it for the fire graphics alone. They are the best. It is almost a pleasure to be set on fire and burn to death. The rest of the game is a straight up remake*. There are one or two very minor changes. * apart from the NG+ mirrored worlds. They are odd. I struggle to play a left handed character. Lots of stabbing with shields and blocking with swords. And an increasing feeling of unease. |

Spent all of the afternoon testing an amp/projector/screen combo for an event tomorrow. I didn't want to use it and the sound was fucked during parts of the poetry videos I was working with.
Unfortunately I was able to fix it and it sounds/looks sweet - So didn't get the opportunity to say "told you so"
Which grates tbh.
