I once went through a T-junction in Norfolk which was signposted left for Bernard Matthews turkey farm and right for Linda McCartney food factory. The only combibed navigation/lifestyle decision I've ever had to make. So you could say you were conbobulated/combibulated? |

Work is being aggressive. Turns out alot of what I did on Monday and Tuesday in the heatwave was a pile of turd, so spent most of yesterday redoing it.
Kids finishing school at lunchtime for 6 weeks holidays. Jammy buggers. The silence will be broken in about 30 mins time.
Glorious rain here today. Oh how I've missed thee.
Lunch: planning on a King Pot Noodle (chicken n mushroom) with a starter of crisps.
No games.

I once opened a chain email, about 21 years ago. It seemed to have been sent in a spirit of fun. One of the questions in there was what I would ask for if any wish of mine could be granted. I know how these things work. You’ve got to be careful. King Midas wanted everything he touched to turn to gold. He didn’t think it through. So I asked for eternal peace and happiness for the universe. I may have expounded - to the totality of dimensions.
Anyway this message ended by saying I had to send it on to a number of other people, matching another answer I’d given (I think it was eight). And if I didn’t then the exact opposite of what I’d asked for would come true.
A bit harsh. I didn’t send it on of course. It angered me. Now look what’s happened.

I was once in a checkout queue in a supermarket. As the lady in front of me was getting served, she dropped something from the trolley on the floor. I picked it up (as a gentleman would) with a cheery "I think you dropped this".
