I've had a mad busy week, covering for a remote colleague who has gone completely off-grid awol, and filling in the odd hour (or two, or three) playing Ghost of Tsushima on PS plus, which has been absolutely spellbinding so far. I had this internal idea that it was an incredibly difficult game which had put me off it previously, I think I must have had it confused with that other Samurai stealth game (you know the one) but it's been pretty smooth sailing so far

I've not rescued the big lad yet in GoTs.
Running around doing the wee sides before I tackle it. Need to get the flame arrows and going to do that next and open the map a bit.
I also started Far Cry 4. Coz that's what you need - two massive open world games going at once with a limited gaming window.

I've started another playthrough of Snipper 5. This time, it's personal. The plan is to blow up the bad guys with as many Panzerfausts as I can lay my hands on. This will leave me with no option but to destroy the Panzers through the medium of dance.
It's a plan. Foolproof.

Rain! Bless’d rain! Had a bit of dampness overnight, a light rain with thunder first-thing, then full-blown torrential piss-down an hour ago.
I have yet to see signs of flash-floods, but the rain did soak into the lawn here nicely. The chalk underneath will suck it up.

Read a review of the game (I think it was Keza in the Grauniad) who seemed a bit sniffy about the fact that the combat seems to get easier as the game goes on, as you continue to level up and get more skills. I'm quite enjoying that though - needing to rely a bit less on sneaking about (I'm shit at stealth) and generally being able to stick your chest out and just offer everyone out like a mental footy casual outside a pub. Have you got the Japanese voice actors and subtitles on? It's very atmospheric... I bloody loved God of War but this is right up there with the best games I've played recently |
