I have finished most of my standing-up chores, but I haven't been able to get all my phone calls done so gods know what is going to walk through the door to do sort my legs out. But I still have a lot of stuff to do before I get to watch something... Whilst I did some of my standing chores I started watching The Rings of Power - tbh I've had to put aside my prejudices and watch as if I know nothing. After one false start, where differences between the appearance between the trilogy and the current series - Elrond in particular was jarring, as was Galadriel as a sort of warrior queen - got on my nerves, I'm enjoying it. I'm trying very hard not to guess ahead, but it's bloody hard not to... But it's doing my heart and soul good, for I have loved the books all my life. *sigh* More to do in chores... |

Before all this shit hit my body, I would sleep a la lazybones , with the bedroom window open. I might add that I would be au naturel, with just a corner of the duvet clamped in one hand to resist the attempts of my burrowing ex- to make a massive nest out of our king-size on her side of the bed. She was two thirds my size, but once her unconscious mind realised that I had gone to the loo, it was easier to put on my robe and play Civ until I heard her (mostly asleep) go to the bog; whereupon I would dash back and resume my occupation of my quarter of the bed and duvet. This isn't an exaggeration. Anyway I am on the last lap so, in honour of Tuffers the Youngest, who has more sense than any of us... |
