I couldn't get past the first part of Predator 2, where there a) wasn't the same sense of brooding terror and b) no Arnie. If you compare the cast lists, the original Predator hasn't got the stellar quality of the sequel, but Beverly Hills Cop can't make up for the inadequate direction and flaccid storyline of the second. The third sank further into the 'let's exploit the punters' mire; however, Prey looks as though it could be good...
You'll gather Nursey is way late; his wife borrowed his car yesterday, forgot to take the keys out of her jacket and drove off into lunnon for her croupier job and only delivered them back to him at 10.30 a.m... so I reckon I won't see him until 1 pm. But I'm happy once I know what is going on. Added to which he is the best of them...

I meant it's dictionary meaning "accept or yield to a superior force or to the authority or will of another person" to our Gas/Electric producing overlords. Not the meter readings. |

Ball chat. All I wanted to say was to praise muffrat for getting it seen as soon as poss, it took me years to get a lump looked at, I was lucky this time. The scan was taken by a young nurse who had a wonderful air of indifference when doing it, most appreciated. When I had the Colonoscopy the only bad thing was the self inserted enema which you have to take, most undignified. Also apart from the doctor there were 3 young nurses this time, they even gave me a picture of the inside of my large intestine afterwards, which I thought a tad strange. Of course it's framed and now above the fireplace. |

Has anyone noticed that they're shutting Google Stadia? It's been coming for a while, I know it hasn't been popular. I got it by pre-ordering cyberpunk 2077, for which they sent me a free stadia controller and chromecast ultra, and gave me 2 months of stadia pro. This meant I played the campaign in 4k HDR
when it came out, without suffering the substandard (and dearer) console versions or having to buy an expensive rig. I've since bought and played through all the newer tomb raider games on it as well because they were half the price of buying them on console.
So the service shuts down in January next year, and before then they say that they are going to refund me the cost of all of the games I bought, and I get to keep the hardware. If they come through on this then stadia will have proven to be one of the bargain-est gaming purchases of my young life. Haven't touched any of the games for a while, but the controller is excellent (I use it playing steam games on my laptop) and I use the chrome cast every day

muffrat my understanding was they're refunding the hardware costs as well? though you didn't have any. I've used Geforce now and it works really well. In fact I had less latency on Apex with it than on my PS4 at the time.
