muffrat my understanding was they're refunding the hardware costs as well? though you didn't have any. I've used Geforce now and it works really well. In fact I had less latency on Apex with it than on my PS4 at the time. Spot on, though after launch they literally couldn't give the hardware away. They did the same promo (free controller and chromecast with a AAA purchase) about half a dozen more times over the next year. When the games refund comes through it will have cost me a net spend of £0, and I'm super happy with the free hardware I'd never heard of the Geforce streaming service until you just posted it. Do you sub or use the free one? I'll definitely give that a shot when if tidied up my laptop a bit. We have really good broadband, and Stadia was never less than smooth as butter

I used to own an Nvidia Shield Android TV box and it was free on that while in beta. Since then I've used it a few times on the free tier. Depending on time of day you might have to wait to get on the free one - but it's great.

He's not dead, he's currently supporting truckers on the Ambassador Bridge, Detroit. If you get my drift...

Rejoice! An Artisan Sausage shop has opened very close to my house! I just bought a Jalapeno sausage and it was fuckin' magic! Usually it's coffee places they open everywhere here as they pack them with Mums who are between school drop off and going to/coming from the gym. But this is a victory for modern man! Hail the sausages!

We're having sausages tonight, you crazee influencers.
Taking them out the skin to make a pasta sauce with shallots, garlic, carrot, tomato paste and Philly light. Bootiful.

It's my mum and dad's golden wedding anniversary today. They're taking 10 of us out for a pub tea later - my contribution to proceedings was to purchase some table decorations and 2x3ft gold helium balloons, which I've just had to carry half a mile back from the shop to the car park in a fucking typhoon whilst the entire population of South Manchester pointed their fingers at me, laughing. Hmmmph.

Nursey eventually turned up at 1.30 pm and left a while after 3, and I now have a coffee and have gone through Games Radar's upcoming games, courtesy of crankcaller's link (he of the artisan meatballs - I think there must be some ritual castration of THAT, otherwise why deskin and cut up the mince out of tiny sausages instead of using mincemeat). With few exceptions, the new and upcoming games are of no interest to me apart from the new Forza Motorsport incarnation (I will require a review in the fullness of time, Tids), some of the Star Wars retreads... Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and they are all very attractive, excluding the horror genres - some I'll watch the Let's Plays if they have decent story lines. But not a single TB strategy game. Depressing. At some point I had better eat.

Can anyone recommend some good restaurants in York? I've been to York twice this year, first time we went to Turtle Bay which was excellent - its a chain, there's loads of them so you may have been to one before. Caribbean food, they do it well, staff were brilliant, cocktails are cheap. Second time I went I was driving a friend up for an interview - I went back to turtle bay for brunch solo and it was great again, super value for money if you're there early lunchtime-ish. If you want somewhere a bit more special, my in-laws swear by a place called the Rattle Owl which is a casual fine dining place that serves tasting menus (don't know if they do a la carte at the weekend), not been there myself, but my father in law has never given me a bum steer on a place to eat (the fat bibulous knobhead). May be a bit late to book if you're there this weekend. Good luck, I love York There's also a great Indian restaurant where you sit on the floor on cushions that does great veggie food (meat dishes too) - I'll have to ask my wife what it's called
