The cold the child gave me never came to much, but my new and improved 2.0 cold I've got from work is kicking in. Covid test currently negative.

Brrrr... When it's damp like today, the cold grows tentacles that somehow get into the house and stroke my skin... and the shower room waste pipe has sprung a goddam leak. The Tories are continuing to allow Shell to get away with paying no tax in spite of obscene profits. This is because they claim that investment in the UK defrays that. "Ed Miliband, Labour's shadow climate change secretary, said the current windfall tax on energy firms was flawed and "would see billions of pounds of taxpayer money go back into the pockets of oil and gas giants through ludicrous tax breaks"." What's flawed in all the parties' attitudes, is that they want the money from the swingeing price increases to go into the Treasury pockets... What's really required is that the energy companies must be stopped from overcharging customers like you and me. What's worse is that their so-called investment is into locating and exploitation of fossil fuels and not renewables. How Miliband can miss this fundamental point is beyond me. |

I watched The Lovebox In Your Living Room last night.
The Harry Enfield & aul Whitehouse thing.
I am not ashamed to say I enjoyed it a lot.
Films
I only watch one Exorcist film - Exorcist The Beginning.
I quite enjoyed it.
I mean t's not very good - not absolutely awful so much as a bit dull and unnecessary, but it was a servicable piece of rubbish or the most part.
Gets a bit silly at the end.
One thing that did amuse me was Stellan Skarsgard playing a young Max Von Sydow.
Stellan was born in 1951 and was 52/53 when Exorcist The Beginning was made.
MVS was born in 1929 and was 43/44 when The Exorcist was made
Exorcist The beginning is set about 25 years before The Exorcist so young Father Merrin is about 35 years older than old Father Merin.
Admittedly Max always looked about 70, but it is still crazy.

I noticed Taylor Swift has quite the potty mouth.
Censored versions are more to keep parents blissfully happy that their children are innocent rather than to actually protect children.
