PM and the youngest went out this morning and returned with sparklers and 'low noise' crappy fireworks, Roman candles and the like, with a few rockets. I'm supposed to set them off later but I really don't want to. Its cold, damp and boring.

I'm usually PUMPED for world cups and Euros. The group stages of the world cup is TV gold, nothing can beat it, two or three games a day for a few weeks, teams/players you don't know. It's great. But this year I'm not feeling it yet. We'll see.
Maybe I'll accept a few million pounds, like pretend socialist Red Nev, so I can "change hearts and minds from within".

Found the game "Inside" on gamepass before - the creepy puzzle platformer from Playdead Studios (who made Limbo) - and downloaded it this morning. I've played it before, but had forgotten whan an absolute trip it is, played it from start to finish today and enjoyed every second. Its pretty dark, but the final act is absolutely mental... I can't recommend it highly enough if you've never played it (especially for free if you've got gamepass) - it's short, great to look at, batshit crazy at times, and the puzzles are never hard enough that you have to cheese for help on the Internet. Four stars. Best game I've played for ages.

*more like slightly more colourful sparklers in a little box that you sit on the floor. But ok nonetheless. The PM and youngest had bought 'less noise' pet friendly ones, which is fair enough I guess. But we did have four rockets at the end. And no fatalities, so 4* overall.
