4 weekly pay cycle - so 13 pays over the year and the date changes every month but always a Wednesday. . This sounds like an admin nightmare, since most of the bills come in monthly. I remember I had to pay rent 4-weekly on a place I had about 20 years ago, which meant paying twice some months, when I'd only been paid once. I asked them if we could divide it by 12 instead of 13 and they looked at me as if I was mad.

Morning Denizens.
Wordle 4/6*
As a mid-morning snackeroo i've just had some brie on a 'Giraffe Baton'. Now i'm not sure which part of the Giraffe this is, but it explains a lot about why they walk bandy. My lips feel like they've been sandpapered.

OOTTM, inflation linked pay rises? CPI in October was 11.1%, RPI was 14.2%. Not gonna happen unless you have uncapped inflation guarantees in your CONEtract. Same inflation problems over most of Europe. Just as planned by Big Gatesy and Big Klaus. You will own nothing and you will be happy. The middle class butter I like to buy has gone up from £2.05 in Waitrose to £3.60 in a year. that is a 75% increase. in ainsbury it has gone fro £2.10 to £3.45 a 64% increase. These are not 10-14% increases.

They have automatic inflation-linked pay increases in Belgium. Why does Tuffers hate Belgium?

Why does Tuffers hate Destry?

I drifted off to sleep then was shocked into wakefulness by an almighty ‘flump’ (noise). Like a knight of yore I got up (fully naked) and went to face my fears. A coat had fallen off the back of the front door. Or had it been removed by a phantasmal hand? Divine providence or wispful thinking?

Just apropos of nothing, but those people who immediately start messaging/emailing you if you are not in the online meeting at the exact start time are the best aren't they? A meeting at 12:00pm and you aren't there the second it gets to 12:00pm? A helpful message will remind you to join!

Has anyone else noticed coleslaw is shit now? The regular stuff seems to taste like the crappy healthy version. You have to go premium. I haven’t bought any coleslaw recently. I considered it, though, in Marks and Spencers last week. Coleslaw you can trust.

A meeting at 12:00pm and you aren't there the second it gets to 12:00pm? A helpful message will remind you to join! Those people are great, but do you know who's even better? Picture the scene: You're on a call, scheduled say 10-11am. Most people are there by a couple of minutes past, and the person chairing says something like "I know we're all busy so I'll try to keep this brief". Half an hour later the call is pretty much done, and everyone is looking forward to getting on with their lives. But wait! What's this? Someone has just joined. 30 minutes after the call started, and just as things are being wrapped up. This person then expects a recap of what's been discussed so far, and has lots to say themselves. Everyone else on the call passive aggressively turns their cameras off, while the entire conversation is repeated Those people are the best

Afternoon all! I also watched some of Alien last night. Ash going mental always freaks me out. But unlike Tuffers, I am not filled with hate. Coleslawblog: make your own. Boom, sorted. TVblog: Red Dwarf.

Good Morning Everyone!
I had a glass of wine with lunch. I wanted another glass, but thought it might not look professional. I'm now in a boring meeting.

Our work Christmas party was a bit boring. A shortfall in beige fried party food and, even worse, a shortfall in booze. Mulled wine only. I don’t think it had much alcohol in. Like hot Vimto.
