Two days until I am off. At least it's more mild now. Very wet but mild.
Kid 2 has a mild fever and we rang 111 at 9.30 in the morning yesterday and chased a few times and finally got offered an appointment when they rang at 7 p.m. The appointment was 7 a m. today. They then rang us (woke us) at midnight to cancel the appointment and stated we had to go to another G.P. at 2.30 a.m. instead. We told them to jog on and thankfully the G.P. surgery this morning was able to fit us in at 9.30 this morning. Bloody marathon getting us to this point.

Blergh.
Due to going on holiday on Saturday, we had Christmas presents yesterday.
A good haul for me, lots of nice bits including 3 discworld books in a fancy cover, a big moka coffee pot, and God Of War: Ragnarok. I’ve played a bit of it, and it’s absolutely beautiful. Tried to make me cry in the first 30 minutes though. 4 Stars.

Christmas
Still some presents to get. I considered getting my dad tickets to a virtual ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ experience. It’s virtual in the sense that it’s not real. Well the experience is real - a kind of recreation of the fight in an undisclosed location.
If the location had been disclosed I would be more enthused. My guess is they haven’t sold enough tickets yet and don’t have the dough.
I might just get some sinister war hermitry books.

And again when my second word wasn't all right. I like to vary my starting word almost every day. It makes it harder for the Wordle spies. |
