Can Shenguin (Sheep as well as it happens) get today's wordle in one? *Waits with baited breath* No, I made a spreadsheet of Wordle answers to help me work out what letters should be in my first guess. I imported the first hundred or so answers as text, then used the mid() function to get the individual letters into individual cells, and then it was relatively easy to use countif(), average(), etc to analyse which letters were most likely to appear where. This was just before Chumbles (I think) posted a fascinating video about the maths of Wordle first guesses. That word was not indicated. Bated breath. As in a contraction of abated, as in holding or limiting breath in anticipation. If the Christmas films PM is making me watch are anything to go by, you’ll spend the Christmas season going back to your small hometown, where you’ll get the opportunity to renovate an old inn/shop/resort, meet a man with an adorable child whose mother has sadly passed away, and you’ll end up giving up your high earning city job, and learn the true meaning of Christmas. Which appears to be: become a stepmother. |
