I’m not looking forward to Christmas at all. I’ve already had a snarky exchange with my sister about it. The pm was considering getting tickets for us and my dad to see a football match on Boxing Day. I texted my sister to see if she wanted a ticket and she came back saying if she knew she’d be spending Boxing Day on her own she’d have gone to stay with her friend.
I didn’t know she was staying with my dad. She now has her own flat up the road from him. It has wound me up intensely and the thought of spending three days under the same roof as her has had me on the verge of calling it all off and sending her a message with some home truths.
I’m also thinking perhaps *I’m* overreacting.
We could just stay in a hotel but apparently that’s a huge snub.
I hate it.
