After reading Muffy's story I feel I should tone happy stuff down so... Been in the pub all afternoon, Pref.Mam. joined and had a few more drinks and am now having KFC. The fries have skin on them, that's the same sort of thing. My commiserations. It must be awful. |

There's a little TV and land-line phone on a swing arm over the bed, you can watch 5 channels for free but a scratch off card for a tenner gets you 2 days of extra channels (like basic cable/sky) and a couple of hours of phone calls. The capri sun was the only drink that was reliably cold from the WRVS trolley |

Got my life to myself at 7 pm at last. muffrat: I play games on really bad nights - that might help... I've tried a few times since I got home, but I've struggled to coordinate my eyes and thumbs a bit. I've mainly been watching documentaries and listening to reggae. I've just noticed the new Monkey Island game is on Gamepass so I might give that a whirl |

The food was shit, but I didn't have to slop out, or suck anyone off for the drugs - they just brought them to my cell bed |

Hospital chat.
I find myself in A&E, as PM is now in day 3 of gallbladder pain. There’s nothing much I can do and I feel even more useless than normal.
Hopefully it won’t get as far as her needing a tv card.

I think i'd prefer an NHS hospital that sells San Pellegrino (only the lemon one though the others are not nearly as nice).

What’s happening? I am now in Brighton. I like it. I went to a pub - The Good Companion. It was nice. I ate some nachos and drank a pint of nutty brown ale.
The flat has some good stuff, including what I think could be a copy of every Carlos Castaneda book. Pretty much every one. The classics. I feel very blessed to be lying here with not one but two copies of ‘The Second Ring of Power’ here beside me on the bed.
There is also a Jilly Cooper book … And Tony Parsons’ ‘Man and Boy’.
