hi
An early start today. After a late finish yesterday. Real late. I went to my friend’s house to work but we both ended up egging each other on in games of Fortnite. I then came home and continued to work.
The early mornings are doing me no good. I feel like every hour I spend up before 7 is an hour lost from my overall lifespan. Maybe there are benefits. Sweet release.
Bugh…

hi An early start today. Bugh… I couldn't agree more; my timetable in the morning is set by others and I resent having my time blocked out. I steal the time to post here. Effectively, my insulin routine starts at 6 - although I wake before that. And it finishes at 10-10.30 a.m. But at least I am alive...

And so the long-ish wait for the blanket boys begins. One of them is the kind of fuhl who has no concept of a logical sequence, so I have to watch him like a hawk. He managed to get the new insulin pen out of the fridge, bring it into my main room... In the middle of bedtime prep routine at 6.30 p.m. the next month's supplies arrived, including the insulin pens for next month; he chucked the new pens into the fridge moved the old ones to the front..
...he must have put the fresh pen for this morning back in the fridge *sigh*

I’ve had a good idea.
Sometimes there are people who have committed heinous acts. People who languish in prison seemingly incapable of rehabilitation. Or maybe there are people where there’s no public appetite for thelr release. In darker times they might have been candidates for capital punishment. In the enlightened times presided over by … me, they would get a chance to fight for their survival against people who would otherwise be scheduling in assisted suicide at a Swiss death hotel.

I’m absolutely not suggesting that anyone here commit suicide.
Don’t call the cops!

What’s everyone reading on the way to work?
Me? Got to be the Chatterbox.
Sadly I’ve forgotten my phone charger. Happily I’ve got two books in my bag:
Planet of the Apes - Pierre Boulle A Separate Reality - Carlos Castaneda
Planet of the Apes goes along at a fair lick. I might go with that.

Sometimes LB, your flights of fancy are a little too Castaneda, and not enough Boulle!

Looks like we've got ourselves a reader.
Actual physical books? When on the trains i'm lugging a laptop/notepads/water bottle/coffee cup/pen case/sometimes iPad/sometimes lunch. So no real room for books.
If there was money available to have a laptop at home and a desktop in work then I'd probably carry a book. If I'm reading on the train then it's an eBook on my phone. Hence the pile of shame next to my bed.
No appetite for the big commute Lazybones? It's a mugs game right enough.

Second fox of the morning in the cul-de-sac heading rounding the back of my neighbours who have guinea pigs outside in a cage thing...
They have a dug - a daft Labrador who doesn't seem to put them off.
Totally gallus as it's now broad daylight

The good thing about the ‘fight to the death scenario’ is that - if the irredemable criminal wins then they’ve helped release the euthanisee from the burden of their life. If the euthanisee wins then they have vanquished a monster. (Sort of. Kind of).
I’d get buy-in from both parties first. I’d sit down with them and make sure they understood the implications.

Borrow the book on my ticket, return it. Steal the eBook, read it, delete. The author still gets the PLR money and the library gets the issue.
