I moved work in the last year. Previous department offered my temp increase and "we will create a new role designed for you, we will still need to interview others" I still left.
A colleague was going to leave, new job lined up. They offered her a similar "it will be a shoe in" she stayed.
Comes to the interview, they give the job to someone else and she has to train them.
So bird in the hand is worth more than bullshit from management.

The one time I did do that, I set out at 7, got to the library at midday and was sent home because of the weather! |
