I was asked the superpower question at a training thing at work once. I said mine was the ability to get stuff done while creating the appearance of doing very little. I.e the opposite of most of the people I worked with

The superpower bit is when I literally tell people I am doing very little, and they laugh because they think I'm joking.

Just finished the excellent "Big Jake" McCandles- I didn't notice how long I had been watching it! I hate Wayne's politics, but this and " The Shootist" are excellent films. The latter has me weeping by the end of it. Meanwhile... |

Been working odd hours, teaching classes in Taiwan and South America on the same day (not supposed to do that), until we can recruit more staff. Two new guys start tomorrow apparently, hope they stick it out
But I've been getting to bed at night and totally unable to sleep. All the normal stuff isn't working, so I've ended up wandering downstairs and playing xbox til breakfast
I've been a stumbling shell of a man, with dark hooded eyes like old sheep's cunts. On the plus side I've apparently played fully through the second and third bioshock games since this time last week

hi I downloaded Destiny 2. Ten minutes in I was trying to find a waypoint and getting berated by this disembodied voice. I would have stuck with it but I had an online training course to do. Now on the way into work. I’m down two cups of coffee. I also need a sandwich. TrainingOne session was on personal branding and networking. Pretty grim I think everyone can agree. I said this then one man said that a personal brand was what everyone said about you when you weren’t there. Another question was ‘What’s your superpower?’ Lot of people said ‘empathy’. Hard not to think the concept’s been devalued a bit. The urge to write Under the Sokovia Accords you are not at liberty to ask a person their superpower. All queries regarding that have to go through SHIELD. Would have been tempting and probably would have won out |
