To be honest I’m not sure. What am I going to do with a radio control car? It’s pretty impractical. |

Come on guys.
Clearly the 'radio controlled car' is his relationship with his sister. The 'Dad' represents some traumatic thing Lazybones did in his youth. The 'new battery' is his job and the 'shell' is, erm, his partner, maybe his flat.
Same time next week Lazybones, leave the cheque on the desk on your way out.

Ah
I've had my Amiga 500 since I was 17 (I'm 48 now for reference), the video was intermittent and the disk drive was being a prick when I was trying to show Lemmings to my youngest a couple of hours ago
A light googling of the problem suggested the power brick may be on its way out - no worries, I had a spare (off gumtree years ago WHAT WAS I THINKING) so I plugged it in and we've had ALL the grey smoke
Absolutely gutted
Dead as a doornail. Nothing from either power supply and everything smells suspiciously burnt
Ill get the tools out and reassess when I'm sober bjt I feel like a good friend has passed away

The power supply tends to go bang before it can pass dangerous currents onto the computer itself. Time to open the machine, and see what’s occurred in there. |

Guten morgen zu Alles!
Back from the boy’s swimming lesson (first in two weeks) and he only went and TRIED. Really chuffed with him.
Gamesblog: went over a mate’s new house last night. He’s turned one room into an arcade, utilising Arcade1Up machines. Four machines in the room - Street Fighter 2, Ridge Racer, Mortal Kombat, Simpsons arcade - and each machine has other games on too.
A bit arse-to-elbow in there with four people, but a really good atmosphere, and the machines themselves work well.
He’s also got a couple of Sinden lightguns plugged into a mega-powerful-PC running through his 55” TV - so played some House of the Dead Remake.

There's some scoring on the outside of the casing of the second PSU, which may have been the source of the smoke (it happened on the slide out keyboard shelf under the desk so it was hard to tell, plus I was half cut). I've tested the original PSU and it's only putting out 8.8V and 3.1V on the two power rails. I'm thinking (hoping) I may have been using the Amiga as the PSU started to fail, and the second PSU fritzed itself when it was switched on. I've opened the Amiga and there's nothing obviously fucked, ordered a brand new psu off Amazon with fingers crossed |
