Had a busy weekend. Played the Eurovision drinking contest on Sat night and was doing fine until the second round of voting, during which I fell asleep/passed out. Missed the bloke in the lion costume.
Yesterday we had been invited out to PMs eldest for a full on roast dinner, for the second week running, which is unheard of as they hate cooking. We suspected some ulterior motive….. things took a turn when they called at 10am asking us to come early as child 2 had come back from footy with a sore arm after a ragdoll tackle and needed to get to A+E. oh and if we could do all the cooking while at theirs while minding 3 other kids and 2 bulldogs FFS. They also forgot to say their weekly Tesco shop would be delivered. Great. Eventually they got back with a strapped up child who had broken humerus, and tried to offer us their Ninja Foodie….
All became clear when they said they’d booked a cheap week in Lanzagrotty, and needed someone to look 4 kids and 1 bulldog for a week. Cheeky bastards. PM rightly to them to stuff that idea, but I’ve a nagging fear they will still keep working on her.
Stand by for the next thrilling instalment….

Gong - I have booked a week in Lanzarote in late August. Could you squeeze in looking after 2 kids, a fishtank and a hampster? If you could also mow both lawns and trim the hedges and take out the bins that would be great.

Your part was to lie down and distract the people while I shot them. I think you fired 3 shots in the game - all at me. It is a good job team kills are not switched on for gunfire. |

I have an unpleasant day today.
There’s a member of academic staff at work who seems to be waging war on one of the people in the … small group of people I have line management responsibility for ... I had Friday off and have come back to an email thread of madness. There’s been a fair bit of bungling, from what I can see, from this psychological war perpetrator, and they always try and blame it on the administrator. I replied to the thread, this morning - tired and annoyed - and this … instigator of the psychological violence has now come back to say she’s very upset by my response ... Ah man …
It seems like a minor issue - I know. And maybe it is. It’s made more difficult by … other issues …
So many issues. Problems and issues….
