Butter and marmite on crumpets is nice. But oddly not as nice as just plain butter (on crumpets).

I'm now getting adverts for Egyptian holidays and Pizza Hut.
My neighbour who's garden joins the bottom of our garden has MS and will from time to time puff a stinky J at his back door.
I'd like him to do this today as next door have folk visiting and it's day two of them all sitting in their garden. They're the unofficial neighbourhood watch.
I wish to cookup some herbs in the oven when the child is at swimming and then let them cool in the garage. There will be a bit of a smell when I open the pyrex dish in the garage. It's my only chance as the pm is also out and I'm making curry for dinner so no smell in the house.
Help me obi-joe you're my only hope.

The problem with crumpets is they take ages to toast. 2 cycles on my toaster - must be the dough product with the highest carbon footprint.

I went to Waitrose. The vegetable shelves were bare. There was no mozzarella, the escalator was broken. Fortunately there were more medjool dates than you could shake a stick at. Now drinking an Aperol Spritz.

I love dates, but then apparently I’m odd for having marmite on crumpets so whadda I know? Marmite - when I was in hospital first in 9/13, it took two months of chatting up the most powerful woman to get some - you had to be awake and catch her as she got all the breakfast foods up from the kitchens  As I always slept lightly ... |

Now drinking an Aperol Spritz. Had a sip of the PM's last weekend. Never had one before. Was lovely. Might sort out the ingredients if the weather stays nice next weekend as it's supposed to. OttM. The PM's folk returned from swimming with the child about 15mins earlier than expected. I had a bain Marie of melted chocolate on the go. Luckily that's not the smelly part and was able to run interference and no-one went near the kitchen. Now in moulds and getting ready. FFS. My pal told me I was getting blase in my windows of opportunity. He may be correct. |

Evening, Chatterbox!
A glorious day. Tap aff all afters in the garden. The tan is coming on a treat and my Vit D levels are OFF THE SCALE. Also mutilated* a conifer and a magnolia. Went to homebase for some coals and to the butchers at Morros for some MEAT as we're going to have a wee barby tomorrow lunch, just the gang. A burger each, coule of BANGERS and a PORK CHOP each. Planning on marinating the CHOPS in olive oil, soy, garlic and brown sugar. The PM will try and spoil it with a side salad.
Now having a beer.
*trimmed down using a combination of my LOPPERS, my secateurs and a hedge trimmer.
