You do get 55" 4k monitors with quick refresh rates but they are much more expensive than tv's the same size. One of my friends has a home entertainment room. Projector, something like a 130" screen, in ceiling speakers. A very nice looking unit that contains all the electronics. Also a pool table in the room. It looks fantastic. I don't think I could fit it in the fllat. Maybe if I scare off one or two of the neighbours permanently I could set it up next door. I didn't get to see or hear the system last weekend. I did play pool drunkenly at 1 am. The whole house is pretty good and in a very posh area. |

Ideally I'd have a multi-screen set up. Nine (or more) big screens fitted together in a giant display.
A proper lair.
It would be awesome.
I would use it for watching terrible football.

Sheep2Ultra Short throw projectors. We had an event where we hired one in. Absolutely amazing. Use a screen or you get special white paint and you paint a screen on the wall. I can just see the pm allowing that here.

I went round to a friend's house to watch Big Dykesy and Mayor Kenneth putting Norway to the sword the other day and discovered he's got a massive telly on the wall of every downstairs room, including a spare room with nothing but a massive couch and a fridge (plus massive telly), and another one with a proper pool table (plus massive telly). It really pissed me off tbh.

55" doesn't cut it for me. I have a 65" TV. I would consider going larger next time as well. And having fries with it. I really like the bigger screen for films, football and games. In fact everything I watch. It's not quite cinema, but not far off. The sound is often better. The sound mix was poor last time I went to a cinema. The bass was boomy and not just in action scenes. It was as if they had turned the sound up until the speakers started to distort. Plus I don't have to buy vastly overpriced snacks and put up with a load of cunts. You want the world on a plate. |
