Did it not have a headphone jack on the cd or amp? That's frustrating lazy. Do you know the date or can you see the payment in your bank statement when it was fixed?

We were in the middle of the flat refurbishment and everything was piled up and not connected. Gah. I think I just assumed it would be fine. |

You can stream from his website direct.
I don't approve of the Spotify business model of pretty much not paying artists. I'm not sure anyone else is better.
I do buy CDs. But I rip them and play the FLAC. It makes me feel i am listening to music in an artisan way.

I think I have the date when I picked up the CD player, because I bought some cable for a friend on the same day. I have the receipt for the cable but not the surplus cost for the repair (I’d already paid £40 up front).
What was I thinking?
I will have it on my bank statement I suppose.

I would usually buy a CD if I like a new band and want them to keep going. It doesn’t happen much because I’m stuck in the past. Also my CD player has been broken ...

I did not like that film (Rushmore) ...
Not for me.
I hated it. I felt the same way when I saw the last Wes Anderson film - The French Dispatch. I thought maybe I would feel different and might have changed enough to like another film by him, but not so. I hated it within the first few second of the opening titles ...
I hate Wes Anderson films so much I wish I could erase them from ever having existed. It isn’t right really. I should probably talk to someone about it.

Twee, smug, seeming to think they’re funny in a clever way but actually being not funny in a not clever way. That’s my reaction to Wes Anderson films.
Maybe I hate in them what I fear and suspect in myself.

I don’t wish ill on Wes Anderson himself. Or the people who like his films. It’s just the fims. I felt similar about Magnolia.
Would I erase the film from the space-time continuum if I had the choice? I’d wrestle with it I think.
I’d have to forget I’d ever seen them, which would be a tough decision to make …

Evening losers
I just watched a cracking documentary about human evolution. It's called Prometheus. It's one of a series going back to the late 70s. I think I'd say it's the third best one. 4* would recommend.
