Hmmm...
BG3 approx times to complete:
Act 1 - 50 hours
Act 2 - 70 hours
Act 3 - between 40-50 hours
Seems I'm 20 hours over par for Act 1, but I have been talking to everyone, exploring everywhere and doing all the quests, plus a bit of save scumming adds to the time.

I'm really hoping the Council/Police Scotland don't use those deaths to close SWG3 the way they did the Arches.
Would I routinely test pills I bought if I was 18 nowadays? Probably not at £14 a go combined with the invincibility of youth. Fucking awful

This is why drugs and testing should be legal.
At least people should be able to actually know what they are buying and taking.
If you want to take something that is your choice, but it should be a properly informed choice.

I have just realised that my plans for lunch involved getting bread out of the freezer.
I did not get bread out of the freezer.
I may be saved however as there is a baguette in the office. I could borrow some of it. I don't think it is likely to be missed.

It is better to vary your starting word.
There are sneaks (me principally) around who will take advantage of knowing someone else's starting word to inform initial guesses given the opportunity.
Some people (not me) regard this as underhand and devious behaviour. Others (me) regard using any information to hand as fair game. You either play to win or you don't.
I have never understood not playing to win. Even if you aren't very good at something you can do better by being overcompetitive.
Games
Fortnite. I won another crowned victory Royale. That is two wins in a row.
If you took 10,000 Fortnite players and bots would I be the best? Well apparently yes. Yes I am.

I was playing Fortnite last night. Did really badly.
Personally … I think the split into build and no-build games has made the game harder. Your head has to be in one or another.
I think I preferred it when it was just builds.

Very occasionally I mange to build a small ramp or a bridge of some sort.
In general though if i have to build it means I am about to die in the storm.

I've got actual work to do. Gather round and I'll tell you a story.
A couple of weeks ago my Mother received a dispatch in the post. A handwritten letter from one of Dad's old school mates (got the address from the 2008 Electoral Register). Mum confirms that she knew the dude and from what he wrote, is the genuine article. Now then, when I heard about this, I stupidly offered to contact him on Mum's behalf as she knows not of the ways of the internet/my brother couldn't give a toss etc...
It would help if the 81 year old bugger had given a contact address or phone number, but all I've got is an e-mail address apparently written by a drunken spider. No probs. It's a question of what to write 'He's dead - soz' probably won't cut it. I must have a thinky-poos on this one.
Now you know why they call me Dirty Tids, it's because I get all the shitty jobs.
