Afternoon, winners, losers and cheaters. Sad to report that Gong-acres is now a wasp-free zone. I have done a Tiddles on them. To be fair, i wasn't at all bothered by the snoring and flittering sounds... quite relaxing knowing they were close by but couldn't get in. It was the night-time chittering and popping sounds of the grubs when they were hungry..... think Last-Of-Us clickers, or HL2 headcrabs. They had to go. Don't fuck up fucking up the wasps, the revenge they get might be painful at the time but then becoming allergic to them is just a pain. Watching the pharmacists panic and say a trip to an and e was fun though. Sounds like the voice of experience? I was careful, and as efficient as I could be….. although I did quaff a half bottle of wine beforehand to steady the nerves and the balance on the ladder. Not one sting. I hate killing wildlife. I’m ok with swatting the odd bothersome wasp, but felt bad wiping out a whole thriving colony, especially from a few inches away when I could hear the whole nest roar in full attack mode when I injected some of rentokil’s finest. Sad. I’ll give it a week in case any stragglers try and reform, then take off the air duct and hoover up the nest and remains. |

I found 2 boxes of DVDs earlier and spent the evening arranging them on a shelf. Extremely therapeutic.

Dr. Shenguin, not sure if you read my earlier post about the old dude trying to get in touch with my dead Father, but what sort of email would a professional such as yourself send? I'd have a short polite greeting, and then a very clear, almost blunt, statement that your father has died, and then a gentle paragraph or two about how much the dude meant to your Father and the stories he told etc. And then an offer of meeting up, which could be phrased to make it genuine if you want or phrased to make it unlikely he'd take you up on it. Sorry for my previous post, it was a dick move. [Edit: but also quite funny.] I'm also sorry your Father died. I know it was a while ago, but I guess it's still shit. Hope you're OK. |
