I have an ear problem. Watery fluid in my one ear. Can you have non-watery fluid?
I had βmicro-suctionβ on my ears two weeks ago. I think I need to see a G.P.
My ears β¦ always my ears. Relentless problems - year after year. Iβm not meaning for any of this to rhyme.

I used to have no end of ear infections. Then someone told me to roll up a piece of cotton wool ball and put them in my ears before a shower. This was 10 to 15 years ago and never had a problem since. Well worth a try.

My estranged PM was diagnosed with lung cancer yesterday. Smoked for probably 50 years but gave up 4 years ago and took up vaping. I'm an ex smoker and gave up over 30 years ago. She now has to tell the grandchildren that Granny might die. Why do people think they are bullet proof. She won't know any details until next week when they do a biopsy. Any silly buggers still smoking need to give it up. Your not bullet proof.

She had an invite from her GP for a new lung cancer screening scheme set up for people who were on record as smokers. So I guess she's lucky that at least it was found now and not when symptoms had started to appear when it would be to late to do anything about it. Although she might now be thinking it would have been better to have remained in ignorance of it.

Sorry to hear this whatalark. Grim news. Thanks for the ear advice. I tried the cotton wool trick but it kept happening. Although, having said that, since stopping it has maybe got worse.

You can't just quit smoking unless you are a light/occasional smoker, long term smokers/heavy smokers are bound to one defining thing, they are (I) are druggies and as such cannot 'quit' without toxic backlash, on average people who quit after long term smoking are more susceptible to the side effects than short or light smokers and most quitters who have had health issues of one kind or other have stopped suddenly sending the body into a toxic reaction (as my father did). I hope your Est. PM caught it early enough to beat it.edit: Good catch Faith and hope. K.

It's very hard to give up I agree. I stopped when I was 32 as I knew then that my lungs in older age would be bad. I stopped going out socially for six months. Back then you could smoke in pubs, on buses and every where else. I would be fine until after a few pints and would buy cigarettes. So I stopped going out for six months. The first time after was very stressful as I wasn't sure what the outcome would be. But thankfully by then I didn't feel the urge to smoke any more.

I smoke with my drink but not without, so not during the daytime at all. As a consequence I drink more than I would probably like to admit. Quitting tobacco is my eternal thing I will do next week. I think I'd need to quit both. Have smoked for 30 years now.

I always liked having a cigarette with booze, but never particularly liked smoking without (though maybe with a cup of tea). But smoking with booze meant I had cigarettes the next day, which I smoked just because I had them and I guess had formed a light habit.
Iβve now (well - for the last ten years) given myself license to buy cigarettes when drinking, so long as I jettison them afterwards. It kind of works. I get to smoke while drinking without ever carrying on afterwards, andβ¦ Iβve begun to associate smoking with a disgruntled feeling at spending Β£14 for maybe only three cigarettes.
I donβt really smoke at all now. Just a little bit. Just a taste.
