I’m going in to see a doctor today. To display my diseased, puffed corn ear. The pain has now gone to the front of the head, though that could be the medicinal rum I was drinking last night.

I might have covid, I think it's the Eris version. The child's school/class is rife. We're just waiting on her then us getting it. OttM. My tooth that previously was causing me no problems whatsoever that the dentist decided needed root canal is now louping since said root canal. Not agony by any means - but low level constant pain. Fucking quacks. |

Dentists often seem very pleasant people. But who would take up a career that involved most of your working life inflicting pain on others. They probably explain themselves as relieving others of pain. But I'm not convinced there isn't an underlying sadistic tendency to such a choice of career. They smile sweetly and offer words of empathy, but really their dying to get started on the drilling.

I had a dentist who started joking with me once, as he turned on the drill, saying ‘Is it safe?’ Sheep2 is right. Tooth and ears … I sometimes wonder what it would be like to wander round a post-apocalyptic wilderness. It seems like it could be pretty thrilling (in a grim, been-through-the-ringer kind of way), but actually the the opportunities for tooth and ear difficulty are myriad. |

Last night I wandered around the woods and a summer camp with some American teenagers. I also played a computer game called The Quarry. Only early on but it seems good. Made by the same gang who did Until Dawn. 4*

I want some green dragon tincture. Lazybones could probably do with some in his lughole as well. I would use this. I tried a medicinal combination of CBD and THC yesterday. The combination was best with a cup of tea and Toblerone. The Nurofen Plus also helped take the edge off. Then rum after 21.00.m … I usually have a rule saying no-rum-before-22.00, but I had to make an informed decision to change that. A tough call. I hope the doctor I’m going to see today is a solutions-oriented professional. I have a feeling he’ll want to hold back on the antibiotics. I’ll want to drop onto the floor and grab him round the legs if he does. In an imploring way. |

I'm not sure many doctors subscribe to wrestling based treatments these days. Though id Dr Shenguin has a real wood fire in the hearth and his top off you know you are in.
There is a fine line between describing the pain enough to get what you want and him calling an ambulance in case you are actually having a stroke in front off him.
