I mean I know it’s all about schools at the moment. But it affects every building built between 1950 and 1980 I think. Or at least a lot of public buildings, including housing. It’s going to be a huge thing surely. Way bigger than just schools closing.

Morning all! Hot out.
Luckily I;m WFH for the foreseable, or at least the next two (2) weeks.
Vids! Gams! Vid Gams!
That's right I've been on the games. Monster Hunter Rise - remains top banana. I think I'm almost done with high rank and onto the master content. There's whispers of a new one coming soon.
Armored Core 6 - having watched a sublime hour long Vaati Vids Vid on how to build your mech, I did lots of souls admin, and replayed an old mission to get revenge on the quadrupedal BAWS menace. Used the spoils to buy some BEEFY legs. Also top of the banana.

Lucky we didn't leave a bloc of our biggest trading partners and spaff billions into the pockets of Tory donors for un-usable PPE during a pandemic. Also, so glad we're properly taxing billionaires and big tech. There will be loads of cash to sort it all.

Reminds me of the tower block flashing debacle after Grenfell, cost cutting and cheap materials jeopardising peoples lives and killing people in some instances.

Yesterday I had Port and lemonade and today Ribena and lemonade. Strangely they both taste pretty much the same.

I think everyone needs to calm down and think this concrete thing through.
It seems to me that it puts at risk the lives of teachers and children. But it is just a risk, not a certainty, and there are no guarantees in life, and it is very much a risk I'm willing for teachers and children to take. I think it's all fine.

God it's hot.
Also, Starfield is playable for me at midnight. At which point another huge download will be required.

View AttachmentFor those wishing for something to replace the whale in their nightmares..... What lay behind the air-vent, about 5 feet above our headboard.... Behold the lair of the snoring wasps! You have purple walls in your bedroom? Do you refer to it as a boudoir?

No Internet at work. Also no phones as they are VOIP.
We had been working fine for months Apparently the internet was on an adsl line. And when BT shut our old phone lines it closed internet. I had not set it up. It had been in place for over a decade. I had no idea how it was set up. Anyway cityfibre who had bought out our old supplier were useless. I spent an hour in various lines with them. Eventually i had to speak to BT. They said i could have internet back tomorrow. Initially.....
Apparently not though. We have to move to fibre and need an engineer. This may take until 25th 😡.
We can get emails via home. Fortunately all our programs are in the local server. So we aren't stopped from working. Can't submit anything online, but there are no deadlines.
I am busy though. And this is not helpful at all.

It’s housing. It’s not just schools it’s housing.
Maybe I’m just in the catastrophe zone. I bet it’s a big thing though.
So … I have two thing to talk about. Calamitous concrete in social housing and …
