Does anyone on here bother to pair their wine with their food? Not really, maybe in a fancy restaurant.

Does anyone on here bother to pair their wine with their food? Mainly not, only if it is a delicate flavour like sole or something I generally wouldn't drink a strong red with it, unless that's the only choice of course

Vegetarian fajitas I made myself, with lashings of cholula chipotle hot sauce.
Then a bag of McCoy’s as I was still hungry.

I had leftover pork in a sandwich for lunch.

Of course. Two bottles without eating anything would be excessive. At the very least some salty snacks are needed.

I'm not saying 3 packets of Monster Munch and 2 bottles of red should be dinner every night.

I'm not saying 3 packets of Monster Munch and 2 bottles of red should be dinner every night. Treat night. We all need one from time to time. A friend recently introduced me to kabanos. Incredibly moreish (probably deadly if consumed in vast amounts though)

Continental lunch: French baguette, Italian ham, German beer. Have it while it lasts.
E3 hopes: any old twaddle for the Switch because I probably haven't played it yet OR an announcement whether or not the PS5 will be backwards compatible so that I can make up my mind whether I'm going to wait for it or not.*
What I mean to say is I'm happy with whatever as long as it's interesting. More information on Death Stranding would be nice. I've got a feeling that I need that game.
*But in reality by the time I'm through my backlog they are probably on the PS7 anyway.

You were unfamiliar with kabanos? You haven't lived, really.

You were unfamiliar with kabanos? You haven't lived, really. I was unfamiliar. I think I should keep eating them to a minimum though. I'm also with you on the Switch news, Ten. Mine is gathering dust after finishing Zelda. I know the e-shop isn't going to start until September so some news on new games would be welcome.

Every day since they introduced the new timetable my train home has been late. Every. Damn. Day.

I accidentally heard a Kiefer Sutherland song on the radio today. It was absolutely chilling, like a Mike and the Mechanics B-side from the gates of Hell.

Morning. Barely managed to survive the weekend. It was just too hot and sticky and I had to slave away in a hot kitchen. It's cooled down and I'm feeling a bit better. Bit of Skyrim last night, I'm now out of Fellglow Keep. At one point I managed to get thoroughly lost, I always forgot that I got Clairvoyance for that. With Orthon by my side the boss fight turned out to be a bit anticlimactic. Picked up Lydia, who I'd parked a bit further back in the dungeon, and as we emerged into the sunlight we were immediately firebombed by a Blood Dragon. Just typical. We were both already carrying all the loot from the dungeon, no space for dragon bones and scales. The weight restriction in this game is driving me to despair. "The weight restriction in this game is driving me to despair" Is the super power potion feature still available or has Bethesda closed it down?

Well the landscapers have done good work today. Filled an entire skip already! That's a lot of concrete to move by hand.
Dinner was toad in the hole. Bought some sausages from the local farm job, and they were amazing.

Is the super power potion feature still available or has Bethesda closed it down? I've just looked it up, alas, it got patched. No worries, though. I have the Steed Stone activated and that is really helpful. It's just a bit frustrating that there's so much loot in a dungeon that one's got to mostly leave behind. Still, not as bad as Twilight Princess, where treasure chests were marked as unopened because "your wallet is full". Rrrraaahh!!!

Guess I need to weigh up my options, har.

Evening
They're resurfacing the stretch of the road outside our house over the next few nights. There have been parking suspended notices posted on parking signs and lampposts for a couple of weeks together with a local letter drop explaining what would be happening. We moved our car on Sunday.
Yet there were five or six cars still parked along our stretch of the road. They've all been picked up and taken away...
