Games. TLOU2. Got into the basement. Not went through the double doors. Watched a YT of the rat king boss fight in the hospital. Need to try and keep the pipe bombs and explosive rounds for that.
TV. 10 o'clock news. Grim.
Early to bed.
Last day of school for the child for 10 days.

hi
I got home last night and had a modest meal of houmous and oatcakes. I then began altering a word-processed document on my laptop, in line with some marks I’d made in a red pen on a printed off version of the document. After a half hour of this I closed the computer, put the table and chair away, pulled the armchair up to the TV, and played Monster Hunter for five hours. I got up this morning and played it again for another half hour.
There’s a storm coming to the monsters of imaginary monster land. They don’t know it yet. It’s coming.

It's 15c colder than Monday and raining like it is Glasgow.

I have bought a ticket to see Suede and Manics in Cardiff next July.
It will be sweet 1990s.
I will not be staying in Cardiff though. The cheapest hotel room were over £150.
There were some hostel beds, but no. Also Premier inn offered a cheap room in a place that isn't Cardiff and I would need to drive there which defeats the point.
I am also going to see Southampton v Blues on 28 October. It's a 12.30 kick off so I'll be getting up in the dark for it.

I think I stayed in the Cardiff Premier Inn that isn’t in Cardiff.
I booked a room, and two other friends booked rooms. Then we decided to stay another night and all stayed in one big room.
After having been out in Cardiff we went back then went out to the car-park to participate in consumption of a jazz cigarette. My one friend said he had some bourbon in his car. He took that out and he and my other friend began to swig from the bottle.
I felt very self conscious and fearful walking back into the hotel from the car-park. The people on the reception stood by the door and watched us walking back in to go up to the room. I imagine they were thinking some sort of Barrymore party scenario. A half hour later my one friend leaped up, talking in a confused and panicked way, and disappeared into the night. He came back a few hours later.
Be wary of the not-Cardiff Premier Inn. That’s my advice.

Dark Souls
Sweet move on Seath to get the Moonlight greatsword.
He did not appreciate my halberd+5 up his jacksie.
The big issue now is Kalameet. Technically I don't need to kill him or cut his tail off, which is nice because I am struggling to stay alive to do so.
However I think I ought to. It's not really 100% if there is a big dragon sulking in the abyss.
Apart from that all I need to do is some admin work now. Get all the rare weapons upgraded.
Do in Four Kings And Gwyn and do half of NG+
Lords Of The Fallen (2023 Version)
I played a bit of this late.
It's ok. Not quite a Souls game though.
It's like a black metal version of Souls.
Also the tutorial really annoyed me. I have played enough games not to have to be shown R1 is quick attack and R2 is heavy attack.
I don't mind tutorials, but they should be skippable.
Let me in to the game and I will make my own mistakes.
I do not know if I can play this straight after Dark Souls (?3) It's too similar.
I also played one game of Fortnite solo, which I won.

I've stayed in the Holiday Inn that is pretty much built in to a wall of Cardiff Arms Park.
It was ok, but I was very very drunk that night. Too drunk.
You know when there is someone at a party who is too drunk and drinking too fast and can't be stopped until it goes wrong. That was me.
I had sobered up a bit by the time I got back to the hotel.
Cardiff Arms Park is odd. I remember it as an enormous place (on TV) but most of it has been swallowed by the Millennium Stadium. There are small stands and a pitch. It's also dominated by the Millennium Stadium A giant hulking thing in the background.

I’ve got three more episodes of the first series to watch, and only one day left of the Paramount+ free-trial. They may possibly get a month’s sub out of me, as I want to see the second series too. And the last few eps of Lower Decks s4. Camerablog: my first appearance at camera club this season, for an open print competition. Last year, there was a concern at a lack of prints due to the cost of living. The committee’s solution? Allow three prints per person! Erm… Anyway, I subbed two images, both of which got a rather average 17 points.

I quite like Cardiff. Apart from the traffic.
It always seems a lively place. My memories of it are pretty good, apart from the occasion I was more or less blackout drunk.
