Isn't the definition of an introvert someone who needs time away from other people in order to mentally recharge?
Either way, yes I absolutely need lots of time away from people. Unfortunately I work with a team of people who are the exact opposite, and require constant attention and validation. I've tried several times to explain how exhausting they all are, but I think they think I'm joking

A 30cm stainless steel induction skillet.

1 main one
1 old one for stuff that may burn
1 large one I don't use much
Also 2 woks.
It's possible I still have one or two very old ones in a cupboard as well
Reading that i can see why they are targeting me with frying pan ads. I obviously buy a new one fairly regularly.

I got into work and this person told me they were reconsidering their un-resignation. But in any case if they didn’t resign they would be going on sick leave for two weeks - the two busiest weeks of the year. I’m kind of over a barrel because I can’t recruit to their post.

I wouldnt accept an unresignation, if you have the original resignation just go with that. Especially if its the busiest two weeks, this person would be potentially unrelaxing the workplace. They clearly dont want to be there or not be there. Impossible to work with.
Its a shitty situation, but its not your fault.

I don't need nor like to much interaction with other people. Getting used to living on my own after many years of having someone else around took a while to get used to but am now enjoying my own company. One benefit is that today I bought a grandmother clock at auction (like a grandfather but smaller) and had no need to have the conversation about how would you feel about having a large clock in the lounge. Got it for only £37.00 as no one else was interested in it.
