PMs middle son’s wedding day. They are taking the idea of doing it on a budget to extremes. Bride, groom, and their mums. Bare minimum to make it legal.
they are then fucking off to Mexico for a huge sham show wedding, to which everyone is invited, as long as they each pay six grand towards it. While I wish them every happiness, they can shove that idea up their fucking arses!

I ate the potatoes last night, though it was a mistake to put them in the oven rather than just fry them. It was just … a lot of heat, and time.
Someone at work resigned a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday they told my they’d changed their mind. They then sent me an email saying words to the effect of ‘I think I’ve changed my mind about resigning, for the time being. I will talk to my doctor though and will let you know.’
I sent an email about them leaving to about 70 people, who have started signing an online card and have put money into a collection. Thankfully not too much money.
It isn’t much of a story really.

Lazybones will be making up folk now every couple of months who are leaving.

One of the things we’d done for this person leaving was to arrange a team lunch today. Much as I like lunch I feel like I need an hour away. I need the blue-sky thinking opportunity offered by the Caffe Nero opposite Timo’s commercial unit (now a Chinese apothecary).
Does anyone else get this? I feel like I actually need time away from people or my psyche will implode.

When someone leaves from my workplace (an all too rare event, unfortunately), there is a call for donations. It used to be put towards a gift but now it's just the cash, and only the names of those who donate are put on the accompanying card. It's basically your final score - the day where you finally discover exactly who hates you, and you can put a monetary value on how much the others liked you. The system could only be improved by having a league table and a big reveal, like Jeremy Clarkson used to do on Top Gear for the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' segment.

Hello all!
Second day of half term. My partner took the day off work too, so we’ve just been for a visit to Leonardslee Gardens.
A glorious sunny day really brought the autumn colours out in full. Plenty of shrooms about as well, including a toadstool!
Arrived home, and had to clear up the young cat’s poo prints off the floor. Lovely.

To add to yesterday's chat, why not airfyrer potatoes? Turns itself off and no risk of fire so much.
Also if you text a landline they used a robot lady to read the messages if anyone is feeling lonely in the early hours again.

I've never wanted to live with other people. I could imagine living in a castle with a village attached. I would happily communicate with the villagers, but there needs to be a drawbridge up, portcullis down option. |
