Feeling slightly deafened for a bit after a gig is an essential part of a good rock concert. I would have agreed until about 2 years ago, when I saw Tony Hawk Pro Skater cover band The 900 in a tiny venue. The ringing in my left ear after they finished their set was louder than the music had been. I've had tinnitus ever since I've got tinnitus as well, but I got mine from a brain seizure*. On the plus side I stopped hearing voices (in my head), which was far worse.
* That's how we do it in the big leagues, Faceless.

I now use ear plugs. Even though I can hear perfectly well with them, they are great for shutting down any unwanted conversation. If someone talks to me and I can't be arsed, I just point to them and shrug I can see why your underling has problems with you. She's got bigger problems today. I have never worn ear plugs at a concert. I tried them when seeing My Bloody Valentine but the band didn’t seem egregiously loud so I took them out. I was stood at the back …
At work today. Actually stood in a branch of Taco Bell awaiting a Volcanic Burrito.

I have problems with someone at work. An academic emailed me this morning to ask for a meeting. The fact he wants a meeting rather than to put the issue in an email suggests it’s to do with someone in the team - either a new person I thought was really good or someone else who often disappoints my already low expectations …
Or maybe it’s just about me. Maybe he’s going to say ’I see you’, then tell me I need to watch my back.

The Volcanic Burrito was ok. The burritos from Taco Bell are really small though. Half size.
Plan Burrito, just up the road, has closed down. To be honest I think they may have used mayonnaise instead of soured cream. The branch of Tortilla is operating under the spell of a no-gloves manager. And rolling a burrito is a hands-on process. It needs gloves.
Benito’s Hat - the best local burrito vendor - has gone. A wind of change has come to the burrito world…

No luck on Tay Tay, internet went out half way through queuing, still kept place when it came back.
Also the Wembley site is appalling, barely readable seat plan, random seats kept coming up, tickets didn't match the seat plan, a near miss.
Just as well we saw the tour in the cinema.
