Cut open a large hot chilli this morning and inside was a maggotty looking grub eating it's way through the chilli. That's a badass grub that chooses chillies over lettuce or cabbages to live on.

Mushrooms chilli and cheese for breakfast.
Seeing as we will all be eating locusts and things in the future it would be a good business opportunity to start a chilli grub delicacy venture. A nice firm bite in the mouth with a hot chilli squishy wiggly follow through.

I was just playing Medieval Total War 2 on the train - on a train. A Spanish army had my castle under seige and I was eventually forced to fight them, with only a few plucky militia, spearmen and the general’s bodyguard. There wasn’t much I could do. I lined most people up on the walls ands put some spearmen by the gate, with the general’s horses a bit further back. When the battle started the Spanish horde appeared and began marching up the hill with a battering ram. I won it somehow. I think the people operating the battering ram got killed. I opened the gates to charge out at and it said I’d won. Flipping some El Cid realness. They don’t like it up ‘em. I’m now chasing them around France.
I’m also chasing the Scottish king around west Scotland. I’ve a feeling he might go to the Isle of Arran next. He’s heading that way.

I need some diplomats. I’ve upset my good neighbours in Scotland, I’ve upset the Flemish. France want me to become a vassal and the Spanish and Portuguese keep having a go.
Thankfully I’ve now learned the ‘Merge Unit’ function so there’ll be lots more … tasting English steel, for my neighbours. That’s right. I’ll get a hang of the construction queues next.

I took the laptop out. Got a pasting from King Edward of Scotland, who I’d chased across the waves. It looks like it was close to Ballycastle where I got my just desserts. I also got chased away from the walls of Edinburgh. I’d split my forces in an act of hubris. I did give Captain Ruy a beating though. An inefficient beating but a beating nonetheless. May well get excommunicated next turn.

I too have a Lenovo Legion laptop that is 3 yrs old. Doesn't leave the house though so the keyboard is fine. We've bought a new fridge/freezer. £40 saved thanks to scubarWhen I grumbled to the PM about a new TV she said "I'd love a new TV. Want to get one between us for our Xmas. I don't need anything". It's a Xmas miracle! And it's only mid Nov. Last night we watched Lessons in Chemistry and also the new series of The Crown. |
