A third, larger, Greggs has opened, exciting times in Kent. Also Sainsbury's has turned into a high security shop, barriers and guards all over the place. They know their customers. The occasional vegan sausage roll is a perfect substitute for actual vegetables.

Morning all! Big Bank call this morning, a listen-in with important business lead. A loooot of waffle. Talk of teams moving offices, jobs being shuffled, roles disappearing, selection processes. Good times. All of this has happened before, all of this will happen again… We had our hybrid working meeting today, I get to carry on for now but apparently need to show my face occasionally in person.

The grim reaper has been busy today. That's what a lifetime of drug and alcohol abuse gets you, an early death. RIP Alistair Darling.

RIP Alistair Darling, He will be remembered by many in Scotland as a hero who stood hand in hand with his Tory brothers to defend the Union. We owe him thanks up here for everything we have been able to participate in since 2014.
Shane McGowan RIP, Really looked Rough AF last time a saw a photo of him. But he also looked Rough AF 20 years ago. Legend

Also Sainsbury's has turned into a high security shop, barriers and guards all over the place. This happened at the sainsburys near me a few months ago. You can't leave without scanning your receipt (or just forcing the barrier, which is what lots of people seem to do). There are usually 3 or 4 security guards stood by the door. Most of them seem fairly mild mannered, but there's one guy who I've seen act like a prick on a couple of occasions. They also have an 'undercover' one, who doesn't wear any sort of uniform, but who very unsubtlely prowls the aisles. I'd start going somewhere else, but it's right by where I live, and I can't be arsed

Shane looked like he was dying back in 1986 when I first heard The Pogues. You'd never at any point have been surprised to learn he'd died from something booze or drugs related.
I thought Alastair Darling was a good chancellor. He'd have made a good leader of the Labour Party. Better than Miliband or Corbyn anyway. Great eyebrows as well.

I also had my winter haircut today, I have one in late spring as well, it cost £15 inc tip. Pref.Mam. whose hair is almost as short as mine costs at least £35, down with the patriarchy. <edit>may not be the fault of the patriarchy.

I might suggest future cuts are charged on a proportional basis, dependant on number of hairs.

Sainsbury's shoppers must be a rough lot.

The first time I came across having to scan your receipt to get out was in Paris. Not seen it up here yet. Which is surprising.
