going for Smolov first scorer in the Betfred DD/HH offer. At 3/1 it's not great but worth a tenner.

This Fantasy Football thing, is there a league to join? I've stuck a few players in and then just auto completed A lot of you seem to playing the old, not taking it seriously, auto complete card. I'm not buying it.
Messi and Neymar up front, 3 Germans in defence, auto complete the rest, what more does one need to do?

Just downloading the Fortnite update so I can again go back to being killed repeatedly by teenagers. Joy.

You want to know what's Greek to me? All this football chat.
Hello all. Had some bad news yesterday - the death of an uncle who was more or less a grandad to me. 89 though, and he had a great life.
So I spent the evening drinking rum and blowing things up in Mad Max.

Last night I was tired out of my mind, slept like a stone, feeling better now. Downloaded Fortnite, but haven't touched it yet. Heard about Sony holding Fortnite accounts hostage from a number of YouTubers before it was flagged up here. Sony's always been a party pooper when it comes to crossplay. Even more hilarious is their excuse, which is "won't somebody please think of the children?" (you simply cannot trust Nintendo with children, oh no).
Speaking of children, Scam's report on American Evangelicals (I presume) failing to acknowledge the sexual preferences of the noble founders of Western civilisation really cracks me up, as I recall how Herodotus in a matter of fact way tells his audience how pederasty was unknown among the Persians until the cultivated Greeks introduced them to the joys of loving boys.
I haven't watched Hollywood productions like Troy or Alexander because inaccuracies like this make my blood pressure go through the roof. I once tried watching "300" in the interest of giving a lecture, but Mr Enemy kept going "Do we have to watch this?" until I switched to something else halfway through.

I once tried watching "300" in the interest of giving a lecture, but Mr Enemy kept going "Do we have to watch this?" until I switched to something else halfway through. The screenshot I saw was a btl discussion on youtube about the trailer. Unintentionally hilarious..... Historical inaccuracy in films is to be expected, it's just when they deliberately avoid or distort out of prejudice that gets my goat. 300 was based on a Frank Miller graphic novel itself based on a 50s sword and sandals film. It had no hope from the start, the bit where Leonidas calls the Athenian's boy lovers cracked me up, along with the 'Freedom' bit. That'll be the Spartans who enslaved an entire local population who they regularly killed in order to keep them subdued. Those Spartans... They had a cracking cheese festival though, boys would attempt to steal cheese from a platform guarded by men with whips (take that Mr Freud). deaths often occurred and it became a bit of a must-see by the Roman period.

Drinking rum and blowing things up is the best way to deal with the loss of a loved one. Just don't try and tell a forum full of insensitive shits about it.
Sounds as if he had a good innings, an example to us all.

scamander - sounds a bit like the outrage at the Battlefield V featuring women.
I enjoyed Assassins Origins so look forward to playing the entirely historically accurate Odyssey, featuring a minotaur.
Incidentally I noticed in Origins there is a bit of land on the outskirts of a town where there are palm trees buried all the way up to their nuts in soil. I assume this was a clever historical trick to make harvesting said nuts much easier? That or it was just a bug. Either way, food for thought. Modern farmers have a lot to learn from history/ubisoft bugs.

Palm chat: Reminds me of a Warren Zevon song: "I'm all strung out on heroin / Buried up to my nuts in soil / On the outskirts of town". Homosexual chat: I'm fairly certain that the frisson of homoerotica is what draws right-wingers to Sparta, Norse mythology, etc, as well as being a problem that they need to conciously deny. Sympathy chat: Sorry to hear that Amipal. (I deleted a joke here, unposted, because I'm not Sheep. It was quite funny though, perhaps another time.)

on my wanderings at lunch I noted two games:
Dead Island: Definitive Edition Resident Evil Biohazard
Anyone play either, I played Dead Island way back and thought it was good fun though it didn't feel finished (you could drive a car into a hedge at 80mph which then behaved like a brick wall, totalled the car but left you unscathed).

Perhaps the ancient Egyptians had the idea after they found Warren buried up to his nuts on the outskirts of town for the seventh time. "For goodness sake Warren cover yourself up! Wait a minute... if you were a palm tree, I'd have easy access to..."

I think Mad Max got distinctly 'mixed' reviews.
Not being an Australian racist I haven't played it.
Why do you hate England?

I just watched a compilation of reactions to the Elder Scrolls VI revelation. So many beautiful nerds. youtu.be/Os3Kq6nFHfY(Quote: "My nipples are so hard right now") I also saw a roomful of nerds watching the "Ridley in Smash Bros." reveal and cheering loudly as beloved gaming icons Mega Man and Mario get brutally murdered.

Dying light is Dead Island refined. Made by same people, still getting free updates. Go out at night is actually scary. Resident Evil Biohazard is 7 I think. First Person, but is classic RE in execution.

Right! Finally managed to handpick a team. The touchscreen version for phone is completely wonky, had to switch to laptop. They make you confess what team you support! I think I've just failed the football version of the Tebbit test. Time to pack my bags and go home.
I'm noticing that among the prizes there's a PS4 copy of Fifa 18, but no PS4. That's a good ploy to get me to buy one, so I hope I'll win.

Hiyeee
I only have one season of RuPauls Drag Race All Stars left to watch.
I’m not sure what’s going to fill the gaping hole in my life once it’s all over.
