I played Elite Dangerous for a bit yesterday. I was not keen on having collided with a star. It was a collision. My ship kind of bounced off it.
Also … Also … my understanding is that stars look like they do in images - with colours like margherita pizzas - because there are filters on the images. Because looking at stars without filters would be like looking at big blinding nuclear explosions. Hmmm.
I bounced off a planet too. Anyway I downloaded the PS5 version of No Man’s Sky and played that instead ...
No Man’s Sky
I like this now. A lot has been added. It would be better if they overhauled the alien faction interactions but otherwise … it is quite good. I spent a while on a planet with no fuel to take off, then I found some fuel. I got into a fight with some big spaceships, then some some small spaceships, then I landed on a space station.
I like that you can mine now. I feel like I’m damning it with faint praise. You can’t bounce off planets though. Sean Murray knows the score.

Today is the second of six off and think it will just be getting sleep straight.
Then to see if any leave can be booked for next year, not likely.

Gaming night started well with some high kill PUBG games then it was 5 games with no kills, just a few knocks. Brutal ending.
