hi
I played no Dragon’s Dogma (II) yesterday. I got home and ate some beetroot. I ate some potatoes and fell asleep on the sofa - going to bed at 3am.
I like the gameplay of Dragon’s Dogma but … in terms of … ‘story’, um… buying into … playing the Arisen … there isn’t much to get you going back. I don’t mind if there’s … storyline, storyline … If a dragon ate my heart. Let the dragon be. I got up and carried on with things. It doesn’t seem to have done me much harm (as a virtual Arisen).
What they could do with is some black and white flashbacks of the dragon and his gang bullying my brother while I was away.

I watched a few DD2 videos yesterday and experienced a moderate amount of pump. However, the reviews spend quite a long time explaining all the things they don't like about it before giving it 8 or 9 out of 10. I'm not sure. I may just be in a bad mood because they've fucked with the theme music for Round Britain Quiz.

No games, no booze, no TV. Did anyone play much starfield or even get close to finishing?

No games, no booze, no TV. Did anyone play much starfield or even get close to finishing? I got to NG+ and was moderately entertained. Terrible story, dialog and voice acting. Repetitive gameplay, lots of systems that don't really work together i.e. ship battles, ship building, base building, rss gathering etc. QoL missing, no maps for cities, lots of loading screens etc. Combat not bad. I got it on Game Pass, played 160 hours, perfect game if you need to keep your blood pressure down as it's very bland, so perfect for Lazy. 4* <edit>I finished all 4 main faction storylines and multiple side quests.

ShenguinYou know they used a body double in The Wicker Man for Britt Ekland's nude dance? Hello. It's pissing with rain. I have to walk to a local church for an Easter Service that the child is playing cello at. Fucks sake. TV. Yes. Games. Yes.

crankcaller No, I did not know that they used a body double. It is a long time since I saw The Wicker Man, but I was at an impressionable age, and it made an impression on me. RollingEscargot and why aren't Round Britain Quiz episodes arriving once a week to BBC Sounds? There seemed to be a two week gap between episodes 1 and 2.

Maybe the Round Britain Quiz team took a circuitous route to BBC sounds? Maybe they went Round Britain

No games, no booze, no TV. Did anyone play much starfield or even get close to finishing? About 200 hours in. Level 50. All main quests and factions done. Lots of sidequests. Opted out of NG+ for now but may take the plunge soon. normal bethesda types of quests / dialogs / minigame for lockpicking etc. Some grindy, some fun. Combat average. Space travel realism poor for a space game. No sense of scale or actually travelling, just cutscenes and loading. Needed to tweak settings to allow unlimited carry-weight to avoid being permanently over-encumbered. Not sure if this is an option on non-PC version though.

I'm sitting in a parked car in the rain, listening to Johnny Cash and eating a giant pack of spicy Monster Munch.
Does life get better than this? Probably not.

I'm partly right.
"Robin Hardy: I explained this scene to Britt and so she knew exactly what was involved. I put a stand-in, naked, in the place Britt would be. I let Britt look through the camera, showed her exactly what we’d shoot, the angle we’d do it from and so on. She was happy, up to a point, but she refused to have her arse seen on camera. She was a few months pregnant at the time, I believe; she said her arse looked like a ski slope and we couldn’t shoot it.
She was perfectly prepared to show her tits, but we had to get a nightclub go-go dancer very quickly to play her backside."

I love beetroot, I like the spicy little ones you get in the supermarket, and the normal ones. Is one of the foods I always feel like I can sense the nourishment in.

It's The Lad's Biffday today, 24 years young. He also got spat in the face recently by the very same 'lady' that grassed us up to the RSPCA for no reason.
No further details on that one yet.
Still, I bet he gets annoyingly drunk and huggy later. I'd like a Taser for this eventuality.

I sacked off Starfield at about 40% through.
I found it incredibly boring and unrewarding, shooting people wasnt even that much fun, weapons were a bit meh. dull in every area and repetitive

I’ve sometimes bought juice with beetroot in, and haven’t liked it because you can taste the beetroot. I’ve had pure beetroot juice through, recently, and I really like it.
I think it’s maybe similar to drinking tomato juice. Tomato juice in its own is delicious but if you mixed it with raspberry or apple juice it would be odd.
