When it comes to male crying I like to take my lead from ‘Big John’ - the big man who died in a mining disaster. Much rather him than ‘Ozymandias Kane’ from the internet.
Although there’s nothing to say Big John wasn’t sobbing heartily as the mine caved in. An appropriate response.

Edge A wanker's magazine for wankers. It always seemed to me to be up its own arse. Takes everything far too seriously. There's a lot of obscure pretentios bollocks in it. It often seems to drain the fun in favour of being overly serious.
If you wanrt a job as an unpaid i tern producing terrible indue Swedish games i'm sure it's great.
I still read it occasionally.
I liked Games TM much more. It wasn't so willfully obscure.
Pretty sure i used to get Sinclair User rather than Your Sinclair. I think they were pretty much functionally identical. I The cover tape on one issue had a game i liked the look of. I think it was a game where you rode bikes round BMX circuits. Two players. No idea what it was called now. BMX racer or something probably.

I tend to shed a little tear every time I watch wildlife being saved on from certain death on YouTube. If it's 'man falls into river and drowns after climbing bridge' - Numpty, I would not feel sad so much as thinking that the moron shouldn't have been there in the first place. Babies being saved from heat death in cars, crying (with happiness) like a proverbial..

Today's header is chat from the dead. I just know that my mum's going to haunt me by telling me that I need to lose weight.

Today's header is chat from the dead. Unfortunate, given the circumstances. My condolences, hope all goes well. Tuffers, sorry to hear about your dad. Sounds rough.

I did sort of weirdly like the fact that tuffers opens up about difficult circumstances, and whatalark swoops straight in to top it and steal his thunder
It's the chatterbox way

We did the Asda order early this week. Hadn't checked the weather. So it's 21c and I'll be making a roast chicken dinner this afternoon. Like some Essex boy on the Costas.

MrTiddles How's it going on the ciggy/vape front? Erm...
I bought some baccy on Wed in a 'just in case I need it' scenario. Bad move. Now back to 50/50 with the vapes & ciggys.
Hoping to phase out the fags completely by next weekend.

I've just gone mad in Iceland (the shop, not the volcano).
Greggs, 4 for a tenner: 2 x corned beef bake (x 2 boxes) 2 x steak bake 4 x sausage rolls
Goodfellas pizza pockets, 3 for a fiver: 2 x pepperoni (x 2 boxes) 2 x triple cheese
Iceland crispy pancakes (no findus in the shop, wtf?!) for a pound: 4 x minced beef
Plus some sweet stuff (can't remember price): 8 fruit pastille lollies Tub of caramel chip ice cream 6 mini magnums: 3 x Double Caramel Almond 3 x Double Gold Caramel Billionaire
We're gonna need a bigger freezer!

I haven't read the article yet, but if C&VG (my pamphlet of choice) isn't on the list then I'm doing a dirty protest a Guardian HQ. No.3 in Keef's list. Dirty protest cancelled.

Inappropriate dig at tuffers lifestyle choice will be left to a happier box, in other news suicidal teenager we spent all night looking for was alive.
Sounds like he was having a terrible time, chose foster care over going home.

And the like for stxdpr's post was for the dig at Tuffers' lifestyle.

Your Sinclair was a truly excellent magazine (if you were a nine year old Spectrum owner…)
