Yet to venture outside, small person has decided that light out means time to get up. Not great at 5am.

Morning Destry, morning everybody.
Another glorious morning in the United Kingdom. I think May and June might be the best months. Everything is green and lush.
After a few initial nights of insomnia, I'm now having the best sleeps ever, every night, that I can ever remember. Kids - say no to booze. But drugs are cool.
Crank! (from yesterday). No, not Doctors orders. Self imposed, due to a realisation that I've been overdoing it, but more so that Tuffers Snr's dementia has fallen off a cliff edge these last few months. I'm getting calls, at any time, to collect him (in a confused state) from various locations. Hence I need to be able to hop in the car at any time. Sort of like waiting for your partner to give birth, but without the impending doom. On the plus he came round last night, on foot, at 11.30pm, as he couldn't get his telly to work, luckily he'd brought with him a) his house/landline phone and b) his shed key. Obviously, when I took him back he'd left the front door unlocked and wide open, with the gas fire on. Classic Dad.
You have to laugh or you'll laugh.
OTTM, hoping for Indian takeaway tonight.

My mum's funeral today. She died on Good Friday and there was an inquest so only now happening. She was a good mum and even in death has provided for me. I won't have to worry about money issues in my retirement and for this I am very grateful. Not sure if she'd like the idea of being mentioned on that there internet. But hey ho mum there you go.

I saw an advert for a limited edition Neil Young album on splatter vinyl this morning. Probably meant for Mr Sheep. No idea what splatter vinyl is. It looks to be speckled.

My condolences Tuffers and whatalark, feel free to use this as a place to scream into the void/hoot into the abyss.
So, it’s official. Edge is the Greatest Videogames Magazine Of All Time, as laid down by our lord and saviour Keef.

I saw an advert for a limited edition Neil Young album on splatter vinyl this morning. Probably meant for Mr Sheep. No idea what splatter vinyl is. It looks to be speckled. It's a bootleg. Well in that grey area of albums of live shows. This one is from his show at Cow Palace in 1986. I've already got at least one version of that show. There is a small, but thriving industry producing small batch bootleg LPs and selling them at high prices. The LPs of broadcast appear in legitimate record shops. There's some odd copyright get out that allows this for previously 'released' material. I've spent enough on legit copies of Neil Young releases. And i have hundreds of mostly unlistened to live concerts. So it is a pass from me. What i want is Archives vol 3. I'm sure it will be horrendously expensive. Neil has been teasing it for release for ages now. He's released half a dozen plus other things instead. Also Neil is very precious about vinyl. It's black or occasionally clear. Nothing else. Mo multicoloured monstrosities. Sometimes side 4 of a set is etched if it wasn't really a double LP. On the plus side his LPS are top quality for sound. I mean you might or might not like the noises, but you will hear them beautifully.

I haven't read the article yet, but if C&VG (my pamphlet of choice) isn't on the list then I'm doing a dirty protest a Guardian HQ.

Tuffers
Hard lines. Perhaps try a drink to relieve the stress. He sounds like he needs to be somewhere safer. A tough issue.
Whatalark
Sorry to hear about your mum.
