I expect England to win today. It's the exact kind of bloody minded patriotism we're known for. Its all been too smooth so far.
We'll go all gun-ho and hammer them 3-0 while the Belgium team smirk and go "oh no". The tabloids to berserk, before we lose 5-0 to Brazil and Belgium have a pain free run to the final.

Not much to take away from that I didn't think, other than Southgate has definitely picked the right side. We clearly weren't that fussed about losing, none of the main men came on. Probably only bring Dele Alli back in the team if he's fit.
RLC and rashford aren't good enough.

I have a feeling we will lose to Columbia, they keep the ball well and look organised and Falcao has a chip on his shoulder with regards to English football. Rose was terribly at fault for the goal, I have to put more effort into shimmying past a stationary bollard than Januzaj had to when finding space against Rose. |

I'm partly in agreement with you, partly unsure particularly as it seems to be debatable as to whether Rodrigues is fit. Our first team is still unbeaten, with one world class player (Kane) and a few very good players; Dele Alli, sterling, trippier, walker, Henderson. Surely that's enough to beat Colombia now we're playing in a decent system? Its a shame rose doesn't seem match fit as I'd pop him in the very good class too a season ago. |
